ObjectiveClinical nursing work is characterized by heavy tasks and high occupational stress.Occupational stress had a high prevalence among nurses, especially for operating room nurses. This study investigated the status of operating room nurses' occupational stress and analyzed the influencing factors. Then explored the strategies for effectively addressing operating room nurses' occupational stress, and effective measures for hospital administrators to respond to occupational stress.Methods1.Quantitative research: In June 2017,a questionnaire survey was used to investigate 160 operating room nurses in six tertiary hospitals of Haikou. The questionnaire included a General Information Questionnaire and Occupational Stress Indicator(Revised Edition). In order to display the status of operating room nurses' occupational stress and analyze the main influencing fators.2.Qualitative research: Eight theatre nurses of the first affiliated Hospital of Hainan Medical College were selected for observation by means of typical sampling.Semi-participatory observation was used for date collection, then the data was encoded and analyzed. In order to display the external behaviors and reactions of nurses under the occupational stress, such as emotions, behaviors and language. And observed how the influencing factors, which were found in quantitative research, affected nurses. The theme of occupational stress of theatre nurses was finally established.Results1.The status of operating room nurses' occupational stress: The score of ORQ was 185.90±18.53,the score of PSQ was 108.42±14.44,and the score of PRQ was119.45±20.38.2.Single-factor analysis showed that the working years,long-term exposure to harmful chemical substances, passive exposure to ionizing radiation or laser light, and frequent noise stimuli had a statistically significant effect on occupational tasks(P<0.05);colleagues relationships, leadership relationships, and workforce were not satisfactory.Major differences in family relationships, family relationships, family members' frequent changes, frequent contact with sharp instruments, exposure to high-risk groups, standing or forced posture, inhalation of harmful gases, and frequent noise stimuli have a statistically significant effect on individual stress(P<0.05);Titles,night shifts,exercise,entertainment,insomnia,co-worker relationships, work failures, family relationships, major changes in family members, and blood fluid secretions from patients have a statistically significant impact on the individual's response to resources(P<0.05).3.Multivariate analysis showed that age, pregnancy status, educational background, years of work, job title, sharp gas stab wounds, and ionizing radiation entered a regression equation affecting professional tasks, and was positively correlated with professional tasks;age, working years, job titles, and colleagues Whether or not the workability of the workforce,high-risk groups, standing or compulsive posture has entered the regression equation affecting individuals' nervous reactions, and is positively correlated with individual stress responses.Pregnancy status and entertainment have entered regression equations that affect individual stress responses, and individual tension reactions have been presented.Negative correlations;pregnancy status, years of work, frequency of night shifts, inability to work, significant changes in family members, harmful chemicals, patient blood, body fluids and secretions, standing or forced postures into regression equations affecting individual coping resources, and individual responses Resources are negatively correlated;education and entertainment have entered a regression equation that affects the individual's response to resources, and are positivelycorrelated with the individual's response to resources.4.Qualitative research shows that the occupational stress of the nurses in the operating room of the tertiary hospitals in Haikou were very common. The influencing factors are mainly concentrated on occupational tasks, professional interpersonal relationships, personal adjustment ability and family environment.Conclusions1.The occupational task load and individual stress response of nurses in the operating room of the tertiary hospitals in Haikou are higher than the domestic norm, while the individual response resources are lower than the domestic norm. This shows that the research group has a higher degree of occupational stress.2.The main factors influencing the occupational tasks of the nurses in the operating room of the tertiary hospitals in Haikou are the workload, second fetal tide, and the number of years of work;the main factors influencing the individual's stress response are work intensity, working hours, and health care relationships;and the main factors affecting the individual's response to resources. It is the relationship between work and family, work load and occupational hazards.
