Objective:To survey the occupational exposure in the status quo of the medical staff in the operating room in the 10 hospitals. To analysis the injury of occupational exposure and the occurrence of diseases related in the medical staff of different jobs, education and professional title, and discuss the influence factors of occupational exposure in the operational room, to provide the gist in improving the consciousness of occupational exposure protection on the medical staff and improving the occupational protection measures.Method:To use multi-stage stratified sampling method to select 10 hospitals of 1198 medical staff as the object of investigation, and investigate the injury of occupational exposure and protection with self-designed questionnaire, the date was analysed with SPSS 10.0 software, we analysed the collect data with descriptive analysis, single factor analysis and multivariate analysis as the main method in the study.Results:1. We study 1198 medicinal staff of 10 hospitals in the operating room, containing male staff,362(30.2%),female staff,836(69.8%).There were Doctors,349, anesthesiologists,164,534 nurses, other health care workers,151. Including primary title 279 people (23.3%), intermediate title 589 people (49.2%), senior titles 330 people (27.5%).2. Three environmental factors such as knife, suture needle instrument injury, noise stimulation (the alarm,the voice of equipment instrument and patients) and chemical exposure (disinfectant/sterilization agent)were higher. Establishing occupational injure report system and organizing staff to carry on occupational protection in the institutional factors have higher satisfaction. In the organization and management environment factors that high qualification nurses voluntarily notifies unsafe action,unsafe behavior often remind each other between colleagues,workplace safety warning signs can be seen three entries have better satisfaction. Personal ability factor in personal terms, continue education problems, work ability to deal with bad mood paramedics were surveyed in three entries showed higher unsatisfactory. In the personal cognitive factors,wearing protective clothing to contact blood,body fluids, or other contaminants, wearing masks, gloves, goggles and other protective equipment to touch the blood, body fluids, or other contaminants and after exposure in a timely manner in accordance with the regulations for reporting have better rates.3.There were three entries including’do not focus’,’low immunity, easy to catch a cold’,’the body is tried,fatigue’ having higher incidence in the asian state of health of staff performance. Needle stick injuries, oral ulcer, menstrual abnormalities were the three Serious occupational injury in the investigation. Professional related diseases in the top five are (1)lumbar cervical vertebra disease(18.4%),(2) the neurasthenia (16.1%), (3) chronic pharyngitis (16.1%), (4) chronic rhinitis (12.1%),5 gastric ulcer (6.3%).4.Using ultivariate analysis of needle injury, lumbar cervical vertebra disease, neurasthenia, needle stick injures were related to following five factors which obtained by statistical analysis software, job, protective equipment,overworked, scalpel, suture needle and other sharps, correctly placed the medical waste. Lumbar cervical were related to the following factors:age, job,overwork, live a standing when forced to position for a long time, exercise, stay up late to work overtime. Neurasthenia were related to the following factors:age, overworked, facing insults and complains, exercise, contact high-risk groups (HBV/HCV/HIV/TB/syphilis).Conclusion:The survey found the injury of occupational exposure occur in the operating room is more serious, the occurring rate of needle stick injuries 53.6%, professional related diseases of lumbar cervical vertebra disease (18.4%),neurasthenia(16.1%). There were much factors which made the cause of the injure of occupational exposure, and influence each other. Safeguard procedures was formulated to improve the medical staff working environment in order to ensure the hospital staff health, improve the work efficiency, standardize security operation,reduce the occupational exposure risk factors, reduce the incidence of occupational injuries and related disorders, operating room nurses to provide a safe medical environment.
