ObjectiveThis study compared the clinical efficacy of conventional acupuncture and Tongyuan Therapy on patients with Diarrhea Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS-D),verified the effectiveness and efficiency of Tongyuan Therapy on Diarrhea Irritable Bowel Syndrome,and explored the theoretical basis of Tongyuan Therapy on Diarrhea Irritable Bowel Syndrome,providing reference for clinical promotion of Tongyuan Therapy on Diarrhea Irritable Bowel Syndrome.MethodsIn this study,72 patients admitted to the outpatient department of the first affiliated hospital of GuangZhou university of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the department of spleen and stomach of the Second Affiliated hospital of GuangDong province from February 2018 to January 2019 were included in the treatment according to the diagnostic criteria,and 36 patients in each group were randomly assigned.The treatment group was treated with tong yuan acupuncture.The control group was treated with ordinary acupuncture.The clinical efficacy and symptom changes after 4 weeks of treatment were observed,followed up once a month after the end of treatment,so as to observe the sustainability of clinical efficacy in this study.According to the clinical characteristics of IBS-D syndrome of spleen-kidney Yang deficiency,a grading scale of related symptoms was set up to evaluate the overall efficacy of Tongyuan Therapy,and the effect of Tongyuan Therapy on improving gastrointestinal symptoms was evaluated by the TCM diarrhea syndrome score scale.Results(1)after statistical analysis,there was no significant difference in gender,age and course of disease between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).The overall efficacy of the treatment group after 4 weeks of treatment was 94.44%,and that of the control group was 72.22%.After 1 month follow-up,the recurrence rate of the treatment group was 5.90%,and that of the conventional acupuncture group was 26.9%.The comparison of efficacy between the two groups was P<D.05,and the difference was statistically significant,(2)after 4 weeks of treatment,the scores of patients in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both treatment schemes were effective.(3)single item points in the treatment group were lower than those before treatment,P<0.05,and the differences were statistically significant.In the control group,the scores of diarrhea,abdominal distension and pain,pain reduction after diarrhea,loss of appetite,waist and knee pain after treatment were all lower than those before treatment,P<0.05,and the differences were statistically significant.In the control group,the scores of defecation and diarrhea,abdominal distension and pain,pain reduction after diarrhea,loss of appetite,and waist and knee pain after treatment were all lower than those in the treatment group,but the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the control group,there was no significant difference before and after treatment of chills and fatigue,P>0.05.The results indicated that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group for the symptoms of Cold chills limbs and LanguidConelusionAcupuncture treatment of spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome of IBS-D in both groups can achieve a certain effect,indicating that the effect of acupuncture treatment of IBS-D spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome is satisfactory,but the degree of Tongyuan Therapy for improving the symptoms of IBS-D spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome is better than the conventional acupuncture method,especially can significantly improve the patients' symptoms such as Cold chills limbs and Languid.In addition,the long-term curative effect is also significantly better than conventional acupuncture,indicating that Tongyuan Therapy is a more effective and lasting acupuncture method for the treatment of IBS-D spleen-kidney Yang deficiency syndrome,which can significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
