Observation On Curative Effect Of Massage Combined With Powder Of Shangke For External Use In Treating CMT In Children

Objective:To apply massage manipulation combined with Weiliang traumatology power for external applieation for treating congenital muscular torticollis(CMT)in children in this study,to analyze the unique advantages of massage manipulation for CMT,to investigate the clinical application value of traditional Chinese medicine for external application,to determine the clinical curative effect of massage manipulation combined with Weiliang traumatology power for external app1ication on CMT,and to attempt to provide a more effective,simple and feasible treatment plan for CMT.Methods:According to the diagnosis criteria,inclusion and exclusion criteria,CMT children who were diagnosed at pediatric massage clinic of massage department in Foshan Chinese medicine hospital during the period from January 2018 to January 2019 were collected.According to treatment order,the included cases were averagely randomly divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,33 cases in each group.The control group was given simple massage method(kneading and pressing method,pinching method,pulling method and rotating method,once a day,5 times a week,rest for 2 days).The observation group was given massage method(same with that in the control group)combined with Weiliang traumatology power for external application(local external application for 20 minutes,once a day).Both groups were treated for 2 months.The ultrasound examinations were performed in both groups before and after treatment[The observed contents included Affected side SCM thickness,SCM contracture length,echo of involved muscle].The scoring on symptom and physical sign scale was conducted.The ultrasound curative effect and clinical curative effect were evaluated.After collecting observed data,SPSS21.0 software was performed for statistical analysis.The data were performed to conduct comparison before and after treatment within the group and between the groups.The results were analyzed to draw conclusions.Results:At the end of the experiment,there were 32 cases and 31 cases in the control group and the observation group,respectively.(1)Baseline comparison:Before treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in general data(gender,age,lesion location)and disease features(ultrasound types,Affected side SCM thickness,SCM contracture degree and symptom,scores of physical signs)(P>0.05),which were comparable.(2)Comparison within group before and after treatment:After treatment,Affected side SCM thickness and SCM contracture degree in both groups were significantly reduced.The scores of symptoms and physical signs scale(torticollis degree,SCM changes,tumor size,tumor hardness,cervical rotation and lateral curvature)were significantly decreased(P<0.05).(3)Comparison between two groups after treatment:After treatment,Affected side SCM thickness and SCM contracture degree in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group(P<0.05),scores of symptoms and physical signs scale(torticollis degree,SCM changes,tumor size,tumor hardness,cervical rotation and lateral curvature)were signifieantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total response rate of ultrasound curative effect in the observation group were 80.65%,respectively,whieh were significantly higher than those in the control group(50.00%,P<0.05).The total response rate and cure rate of clinical curative effect in the observation group were 90.32%and 29.03%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those in the control group(62.50%and 6.25%,P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)Massage therapy can significantly improve tumor thickness,symptoms and physical signs of CMT children,which is an effective way of treating CMT.(2)The effects of massage therapy combined with Weiliang traumatology power for external application are obvious on improving tumor thickness,symptoms and physical signs of CMT children.The curative effect is better than that of simple massage therapy.It is a simple,feasible and more effective treatment plan.Which is worth of clinical promotion.
