Objective:By observing the clinical efficacy of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with massage in the treatment of Congenital Muscular Torticollis(CMT),exploring the effectiveness of heat-sensitive moxibustion on CMT,and broaden the treatment range of heat-sensitive moxibustion, and simultaneously provide the justification of heat-sensitive moxibustion for the application in the treatment of CMT.Methods:The 60 samples which meet the inclusion criteria are sorted according to the order of visits, and reclassified in ascending order by the random numbers which are generated according to the RAND function command in the Microsoft Office Excel 2017 software. The first 30 samples are specified as the control group, the last 30 samples were designated as the experimental group. The control group was treated with an electromagnetic wave treatment device(also known as TDP therapy instrument, commonly known as "Shen Deng")combined with massage therapy, and the experimental group was treated with heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with massage therapy. The massage of the two groups was performed by the same physician. The treatment frequency of the two groups was one time a day, five times a week for two days off,and four consecutive weeks constituted a course of treatment. The study period was 3 courses.Observe and record the diameter and thickness of the sternocleidomastoid muscle under the Doppler ultrasound scan of the two groups before and after treatment,as well as the scores of the various indicators in the Congenital Muscular Torticollis effect evaluation scale(the degree of torticollis,SCM contracture changes, bilateral SCM thickness difference percentage,SCM mass hardness,Passive cervical vertabra rotation,Passive lateral flexion of cervical vertabra)and the total scores were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two groups. The data obtained were statistically analyzed by IBM SPSS 26.0 statistical software. Results:The control group finally completed 29 samples and the experimental group completed 30 samples when the study finished.1.Comparison of general conditions:There were no statistical significant differences in gender, tumor location, and age before the study started(P>0.05),suggesting comparability.2.Comparison between the two groups before and after treatment:The diameter and thickness of the sternocleidomastoid muscle on the affected side of the two groups were significantly improved compared with before treatment. The scores and the total scores of the various indicators in the Congenital Muscular Torticollis effect evaluation scale were significantly lower than before treatment, and there were significant statistical differences(P<0.01).3.Comparison between the two groups after treatment:the experimental group after treatment in the two indicators of "bilateral SCM thickness difference Percentage" and "SCM mass tightness" are significantly lower than the control group, with significant differences and statistical significance(P<0.01),and in the "the degree of torticollis","SCM contracture changes","Passive cervical vertabra rotation","Passive lateral flexion of cervical vertabra",there were just difference with the control group(P<0.05).4.Clinical efficacy: Among the 29 samples in the control group,1 cured,5 markedly effective,22 effective, and 1 ineffective, with a total effective rate of 96.6%;in the 30 samples of the experimental group,8cured,21 markedly effective, and 1 effective,0 case was invalid, the total effective rate was 100%.The clinical efficacies of the two groups were tested by Mann-Whitney U test, and there was a statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The overall curative effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with massage for the treatment of CMT is better than of TDP therapy instrument combined with massage.2.During the research process of heat-sensitive moxibustion, there were no adverse events, and the children had no discomfort symptoms after treatment, which deserves further research and promotion.
