Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of Taohong Siwu decoction on residual pain after percutaneous endoscopic discectomy in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH),and to analyze the mechanism of Taohong Siwu decoction on residual pain after PTED.Give full play to the unique advantages of Chinese medicine,to promote the rapid rehabilitation after PTED,to provide a new idea for the traditional Chinese medicine to treat residual pain after PCI.Methods: From November 2017 to November 2018,60 patients with residual pain after percutaneous foramen discectomy(PTED)were selected from the Department of Spinal surgery,Ruikang Hospital affiliated to Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine.According to the order of admission, the patients were numbered 1-60,and the patients were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table. The patients in the two groups were treated with routine nursing,treatment(anti-inflammatory,rehydration)and functional exercise.in the experimental group, the patients in the experimental group were treated with Taohong Siwu decoction granule twice a day, once a day for 7 days,on the first day after PTED,the patients in the experimental group were treated with Taohong Siwu decoction granules twice a day for 7 days.Control group:he first day after PTED,Ibuprofen sustained-release capsule(Fenbid)0.3 g Bid was given orally for 7 days.VAS score,JOA score and TCM syndrome score wereobserved on the day after operation and at 3,7 and 14 days after operation, respectively. The data were processed by SPSS22.0 statistical software. The functional evaluation and overall curative effect of the two groups were evaluated. Results: 1.The baseline data of sex, age, course of disease and operative segment between the two groups were compared(P>0.05),which was not statistically significant and comparable.2.Comparison of VAS scores: There was significant difference between the two groups on the day after operation and 3,7,14 days after operation,3 days and 7 days after operation,3 days and 14 days after operation,7 days and 14 days after operation,P<0.05;Comparison between the two groups:on the day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance, but on the 3rd,7th and 14 th day after operation,P<0.05,there was statistical significance. The VAS scores of the two groups decreased to varying degrees, and the downward trend of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group, indicating that the experimental group was better than the control group in relieving pain.3.Comparison of JOA scores: There was significant difference between the two groups on the day after operation and 3,7,14 days after operation,3 days and 7 days after operation,3 days and 14 days after operation,7 days and 14 days after operation,P<0.05;Comparison between the two groups:on the day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance, but on the 3rd,7th and 14 th day after operation,P<0.05,there was statistical significance. The JOA scores of the two groups increased to varying degrees, and the upward trend of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group, indicating that the experimental group was superior to the control group in the rehabilitation of lumbar function.4.Comparison of symptom scores of TCM syndromes:Comparison between the two groups:comparison between the two groups on the day after operation and 3,7,14 days after operation,3 days and 7 days after operation,3 days and14 days after operation,7 days and 14 days after operation,P<0.05,All of them were statistically significant.Comparison between the two groups: on the day after operation,P>0.05,there was no statistical significance, but on the 3rd,7th and 14 th day after operation,P<0.05,there was statistical significance. The scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups decreased to varying degrees, and the downward trend of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group, indicating that the improvement of syndrome symptoms in the experimental group was better than that in the control group.5.Comparison of Overall curative effect:The total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.33%,and that of the control group was 86.67%,P< 0.05,which indicated that the total effective rate of the experimental group was better than that of the control group. Conclusion: Taohong Siwu decoction and ibuprofen sustained-release capsule have definite curative effect on residual pain after PTED in patients with lumbar disc herniation, and the curative effect of Taohong Siwu decoction is better than that of ibuprofen, which is of great significance in promoting rapid recovery after operation. It is worthy of clinical promotion and in-depth study.
