Clinical Observation Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction On Ameliorating Pain And Dysfunction Of Patients With Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation After TLIF

ObjectiveBy observing the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction on ameliorating the pain and dysfunction after TLIF in patients with lumbar disc herniation,it provides a reference for the application of Buyang Huanwu Decoction in patients with lumbar disc herniation after TLIF.MethodsIn this study,a total of 62 patients who underwent TLIF surgery in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Wuhan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2018 to October 2020 and whose diagnosis included lumbar disc herniation were selected as the research objects.The selected patients were randomly divided into two groups according to the order of admission,with31 cases in each group.Control group: on the basis of conventional treatment,from the second day after surgery,they were given mecobalamin dispersive tablets orally,one tablet/time,TID,for4 weeks.Observation group: on the basis of conventional treatment,from the second day after surgery,they were given Buyanghuanwu decoction orally,200ml/ time,bid,for 4 weeks.VAS and ODI scores of patients in both groups were recorded preoperatively and postoperatively at each time point,the changes in data were compared and the influencing factors were analyzed,and the total effective rate,subjective satisfaction,actual length of hospital stay and other data were counted 12 weeks after surgery.SPSS21.0software was used to conduct statistical processing on each observation index,and the research results were obtained.Results1.There was no significant difference in preoperative general data,indicating that the two groups could be used to compare the postoperative efficacy of TLIF(P > 0.05).2.After drug treatment,VAS scores in both groups decreased significantly over time(within group F =75.604,P=0.000<0.05),the ODI score of the same two groups also decreased significantly with time(inside group F =64.258,P=0.000<0.05),suggesting that both treatments were effective.3.In the two treatment regimens,the VAS score of the observation group was better than that of the control group(F=12.036,P=0.001<0.05);ODI score of the observation group was better than that of the control group(F =19.036,P=0.000<0.05).The results showed that Buyang Huanwu Decoction was better than mecobalamin dispersive tablet in alleviating pain and promoting functional recovery of lumbar spine.4.Total effective rate: 96.67% in the observation group was significantly better than 80% in the control group(P=0.044%<0.05),indicating that Buyang Huanwu Decoction can improve the total effective rate of treatment.5.Average length of stay: The average length of stay in the observation group was 7.17,which was significantly lower than that in the control group(P=0.010<0.05),indicating that Buyang Huanwu Decoction could shorten the average hospital stay.6.Subjective satisfaction: 93.33% in the observation group was significantly better than 73.33% in the control group(P=0.038<0.05),indicating that Buyang Huanwu Decoction can improve the overall satisfaction with the treatment.7.Safety: No obvious adverse drug reactions occurred in patients of the two groups.Conclusion:In patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation after TLIF,the addition of Buyang Huanwu Decoction can further reduce the pain score of patients,promote the recovery of postoperative lumbar function,shorten the average hospital stay,improve postoperative efficacy,improve patient satisfaction,with high safety.It is worth popularizing and applying in clinic.
