Clinical Observation Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction In The Treatment Of Residual Pain After PEID (Qi Deficiency And Blood Stasis Syndrome) In Patients With Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction on residual low back and leg pain after PEID surgery for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation.It may provide a new idea and theoretical basis for traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of residual pain after lumbar disc herniation.Methods:60 patients with Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine still had low back and leg pain after PEID were collected.They were randomly divided into the control group and therapy group.On the same day after the surgery,the two groups of patients were given basic treatments such as low back muscle function exercise,and treated with mecobalamin tablets and aescuven forte tablets.Simultaneously the treatment group was given oral Buyang Huanwu Decoction,and the course of treatment was one month.The follow-up VAS scores were observed before surgery,1 week after surgery,1 month after surgery,3 months after surgery,and 6 months after surgery.And JOA score,ODI score,and quantitative scores of TCM symptoms were followed up before surgery,1 month after surgery,3 months after surgery,6 months after surgery,and observed the electromyogram H reflex latency of the two groups before treatment and 6 months after surgery.The overall curative effect of the two groups of patients was judged 6 months after the surgery.The data was statistically processed by SPSS25.0 software,and the differences in the clinical efficacy of the two groups on the residual pain after PEID after lumbar intervertebral disc herniation were analyzed and compared.Results:1.Baseline comparison:There was no statistical difference between the two groups in gender,age,course of disease,operation segment,operation tim e,etc.and VAS score,JOA score,ODI score,and H reflex latency before treatment(P>0.05).The two groups are comparable.2.VAS score:The difference between the two groups before treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05);at each observation time point,the VAS score of the two groups continued to decrease,and the treatment group was more significant(P<0.05).3.JOA score:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);at each observation time point,the JOA score of the two groups continued to increase,the treatment group was more significant(P<0.05).4.ODI score:There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);at each observation time point,the ODI score of the two groups continued to decrease,the treatment group was more significant(P<0.05).5.H reflex latency:there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);6 months after the operation,the treatment group decreased more significantly than the control group(P<0.05).6.TCM syndrome score:1 month,3 months,and 6 months after the operation,the TCM syndrome scores were significantly lower than the day after the operation(P<0.05),and the treatment group decreased more significantly than the control group(P<0.05).7.Judgment of overall curative effect:both treatments are effective(the effective rate of the treatment group is 92.33%,the effective rate of the control group is 85.67%),the clinical curative effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Buyang Huanwu Decoction can effectively relieve the residual pain after PEID,and improve the TCM symptoms of patients with Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis after surgery,and improve the quality of life in the early postoperative period.
