Study On The Evolution Of Urban Spatial Structure In Hohhot

With the rapid development of China’s social economy and the promulgation and implementation of related urban development policies,many changes have taken place in the form of urban space of different sizes,which are mainly reflected in the expansion of the external space of the city and the evolution of its internal structure.The essence of urban spatial expansion is the result of internal and external dynamics of the city.Under different driving forces,urban space expansion presents different ways,speeds,forms,etc.,and has different impacts on the social and economic aspects of the city.This paper selects Hohhot as the research object.At present,Hohhot’s space is undergoing rapid expansion and change.The spatial and temporal laws,mode characteristics,dynamic mechanism,and comprehensive dynamic effect of urban spatial expansion are analyzed and studied to clarify its stage in urban development.And forecast its development trend,put forward useful countermeasures and suggestions for the future space development of Hohhot.This article takes the city of Hohhot as an example.Based on the image data of1990,2001,2010,and 2017,combined with relevant historical data,3S technology is used to carry out quantitative analysis and comparative research on the spatial structure of Hohhot.Using fractal theory,etc.The fan-shaped method,expansion degree,expansion intensity,and convex hull identification are used to analyze the characteristics and methods of urban expansion;the kernel density method and spatial syntax are used to analyze the evolution of internal spatial structure;finally,the natural environment,economy,population,and urban planning are used to analyze From the perspective of aspects,the driving forces of the evolution of the spatial structure of Hohhot are analyzed.The main results are as follows:(1)By analyzing 27 spatial and temporal characteristics of urban land expansion in the study area,the rate of land expansion continues to accelerate,the expansion intensity is at a high level,the fractal dimension corresponds tocompactness,and the urban fractal dimension changes first increase and then decrease And the compactness gradually declines from a rapid decline to a steady and slightly increased.Generally speaking,the evolution of the external form of the city of Hohhot in the past 40 years is divided into three stages: outward expansion—internal filling—stabilizing.The city has gradually spread from the beginning to the city’s outward expansion,which has become more regular year by year.The stability of the outer structure of the city has gradually improved.The city is mainly filled with internal gaps.The urban land use method has been changed to intensive.Resource utilization and allocation are more reasonable.(2)The density and space syntax were used to analyze the internal structure of the city.The results are as follows: From 2001 to 2017,Xinhua Avenue,Zhaowuda Road,Zhelimu Road,Hailar Street,and Genghis Khan Street,these areas bear urban life The central function and the urban function are relatively concentrated.At the same time,in 2015,around the East Railway Station became the urban living center in the eastern region of Hohhot.Land for urban industry,logistics and warehousing continues to move outward from the city’s second ring road to the suburbs.In the process of urban expansion and construction,the internal space structure of cities has become more and more complicated.(3)Based on the summary of the influencing factors on the evolution of the urban spatial form of Hohhot by combining images and data,it is concluded that the evolution of the urban form is affected by the effects of the natural environment,urban master planning,economic development,population factors,transportation,etc..Among them,the natural environment elements are external forces;population change and economic development are the inherent driving forces for the evolution of urban spatial structure;the city master plan controls and guides the overall pattern of urban morphology through appropriate intervention opportunities and means;and the final transportation element It guides the expansion of local land use during the evolution of urban morphology.(4)considering the future sustainable development of the city and the maindriving factors of urban expansion,different scenarios of urban land expansion in2030 were simulated by considering the driving factors such as population,economy and transportation.Moreover,the future development of the structural research area is oriented to urban land use expansion.Therefore,from the perspective of future urban expansion,we should slow down the intensity of urban land development and strengthen the structural adjustment and layout adjustment of urban land.
