Chinese traditional paintings and Chinese classical gardens are the essence of Chinese traditional arts, and are closely related to the history of Chinese civilization. In the development of traditional culture, literati landscape painting keeps close contact with Chinese classical gardens.Literati landscape painting plays an important role in promoting gardens to enhance creative techniques, establish aesthetic concepts and form artistic styles.Poetry, literature, and painting are the indispensable themes for expressing gardens.Among them, the mapping of poetry, literature, and other materials to classical gardens focuses on the text reproduction of China's traditional humanistic spirit, customs, and economic and political status. The traditional literati landscape painting is a summary and re-expression of nature. As a unique record carrier with aesthetic value, landscape painting records the appearance of garden development in different eras and the author's aesthetic interest, and studying its content has important aesthetic value and social historical value.Landscape paintings have grown from the early buds of the Wei,Jin,and Northern and Southern Dynasties to the maturity of literati freehand landscapes during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. At the same time, the gardening activities of literati painters prompted private gardens to evolve into literati freehand gardens. Both of these developments are inseparable from the natural landscape of China.Although their spatial expressions and means of expression are different, they share common principles, both derived from nature and at the same time "teaching nature".This article takes the interoperability of literati landscape paintings and Chinese classical gardens as a perspective, and connects the similarities and differences in aesthetic structure between literati landscape paintings and Chinese classical gardens to provide readers with an understanding of the relationship between the two and provide new ideas for the development of garden landscape paintings.
