Chinese classical poetry, Chinese landscape painting and Chinese classical garden have the same origin, they were developed under the influence of three culture which are Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.the commonality of creators and viewers decide the commonality of aesthetic and creation of the three. Chinese classical poetry as the origin of the development of Chinese culture, which are on the painting and classical gardens have a direct impact on the aesthetic requirements and creative arts. Therefore, the study of commonality of classical Chinese poetry and Chinese classical gardens, the analysis of technique to create artistic conception of Chinese classical poetry and its application in Chinese classical garden and its application in modern landscape design, for the development of Chinese modern landscape design has important research significance.In this paper, the same origin of classical Chinese poetry and Chinese classical garden as the research foundation, based on modern psychology, aesthetics, poetics,starting from the commonality of aesthetic and creative, combining design cases of classical Chinese garden and modern landscape, in terms of the use of literature, theoretical analysis, classification studies, comparative studies, surveys and applied research methods to study the manifested commonality of aesthetic and creative of classical Chinese poetry and Chinese classical gardens, as well as methods of classical Chinese poetry creation (including both imagery and space-time) and application in Chinese classical gardens and modern landscape design, analyze its significance in the development of Chinese modern landscape architecture, through the design practice of verification. In this paper, the main research results are as follows:(1) They have the same aesthetic demand in terms of spiritual satisfaction, especially the people of modern society who need to satisfy the release of the spirit through aesthetic.
