Research On The Upgrading Path Of China's Automobile Industry From The Perspective Of Global Value Chain

With the advent of the era of digital economy,the process of economic globalization is further accelerated,and commodity trade between countries is increasingly close.The division of labor in the field of international trade has shifted from inter industry division to intra industry division.With the progress of Internet technology,the traditional mode of production and trade has gradually changed.This paper takes the automobile industry as an example,starting from the GVC theory and combining with the current situation of China's automobile industry,studies the upgrading path of China's automobile industry from the perspective of global value chain.In the first half of this paper,based on GVC literature,the theory of value chain is summarized,and the development status of China's automobile industry and the automobile production and marketing status of major countries are summarized and analyzed.In the second half of the paper,the relevant indicators of GVC in the major automobile manufacturing countries are calculated based on the global value chain theory,and the influencing factors are empirically analyzed to find the upgrading path of China's automobile industry.Through research,it is found that although China's automobile production and sales have been in the forefront of the world,there is still a certain gap between China's production technology and value chain governance capability compared with developed countries such as Europe,the United States and Japan.The results of basic regression show that the improvement of financing efficiency has a positive incentive for the promotion of GVC status in the automotive industry.The impact of TFP is slightly less than that of financing efficiency,which shows that abundant capital chain can promote the status of automobile industry value chain,while the robustness test shows that the impact of production technology may be underestimated.Under the new situation,the intelligent and network development of automobile industry is the main trend of current industry development.To improve the level of production technology is the main way to upgrade the automobile industry.We should increase the investment in research and development,strengthen the construction of automobile brand,and improve the ability of scientific and technological innovation,so as to promote the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry and high-quality development.
