Research On The Status Measurement And Upgrading Of The Global Value Chain Of Mechanical And Electrical Products In China

In the value chain,different division of labor positions reflect different trade added value gain.The strong development of mechanical and electrical products is indispensable to enhance the comprehensive strength of the country.But China is everywhere "suppressed" from the countries with the advantage of high-end links.The high-end development of the industry has been seriously hindered.Therefore,an in-depth analysis of the status of the global value chain of China’s electromechanical products,to find out the upgrade countermeasures.This is of great practical significance to promoting the structural adjustment of China’s electromechanical product industry.Firstly,this paper uses the improved GVC status index method to calculate and analyze the status of China’s electromechanical products participating in the global value chain from2000 to 2019.The results show that: first,the participation of mechanical and electrical products in the global value chain is high,but the trend is declining,and there are problems of high degree of backward participation and low degree of forward participation.Second,when the global economic environment is good,the status of the global value chain rises rapidly,but there are problems that the overall status is still low and insufficient ability to resist economic risks,and pointed out the need for an upgrade.Then we selected the relevant influencing factors and build a regression model to test.The results show that policy support and fixed asset investment have a significant positive role in upgrading the global value chain of Chinese electromechanical products.The impact of technological innovation is not yet significant.International market demand and economic development level are mainly reflected in positively promoting the backward participation in the global value chain.Finally,give the following suggestions: Increase the investment in the research and innovation of mechanical and electrical products.Increase investment in fixed assets in the mechanical and electrical industry.Formulate reasonable development policies for the mechanical and electrical industries with different technical content.And give priority to the enterprises to meet the domestic high-end market demand to promote the upgrading of China’s mechanical and electrical products global value chain status.
