Research On The Landscape Design Of Residential Community Based On Jan Gehl's Communication And Space Theory

The public space is the main activity place in the residential community,but the public activity is a missing point in the construction of residential public space.This study takes the living space of residential community as the research object,discusses the design theory of constructing residential public communication space under the guidance of Jan Gehl's Communication and Space Theory,and combine it with practice,which is of great significance to solve the lack of public activities.The research results are as follows:First,the core of Jan Gehl's Communication and Space Theory is to regard people as the main part of design,that is,"people-oriented." The study of the communication space and the research on the interaction space of the residential community are summarized.As the public space of neighborhood communication,the communication space is an important carrier for residents' daily life and information and emotions exchange inside and outside the community.Secondly,through the analysis of actual cases at home and abroad,this study summarized the existing problems and advantages that can be learned.The commonality of the pleasant communication space is that the person is the protagonist of the design.By the analysis of people's behavior in the public space,the requirements of various public communication spaces are obtained.Thirdly,according to the relevant theory and case analysis of both home and abroad,the author summarized the communication space design strategy in residential community: For the design principles,following the principles of people-oriented,diversity,fun,and safety;In terms of design concept,establish livable interactions scale,create a landscape space with a sense of place,create a shared space for comprehensive functions,enhance the activity space for residents' participation,form a continuous communication space design concept,and proposing.Finally,and using Jan Gehl's Communication and Space Theory to design the spatial landscape of the “Yijurenhe communities” in Changchun City,China.Taking people as the design concept of public space,taking benevolence and harmony as the design theme,and combining local characteristics to create a modern style residential communication space to enhance residents' sense of identity and sense of belonging and security,making residential communication space become an essential part of residents' daily life.
