As the aging of the population far outpaces the pace of economic development,China is getting old before it gets rich and gets old before it gets ready. The grim situation of aging in old urban communities is manifested as the problem of elderly care that needs to be solved urgently. In terms of physical space, owing to the aging of the community’s building environment and the serious lag in the renovation of aging facilities, the majority of community facilities can’t be used by elderly people. In terms of population structure, the number of emptynest elderly in old community is increasing, and the phenomenon of the elderly taking care of the elderly is significant, which makes it difficult for the elderly to communicate with the outside world. It’s hard for the elderly to adapt to social changes, and further forms community isolationIn order to solve the problem of elderly care in old communities, developed countries have taken the lead in exploring some explorations, and the all-age community elderly care model is one of its achievements. As a new type of elderly care community, the all-age community breaks through the limitation of only focusing on the elderly. On the basis of insisting on active aging,it not only considers the physical function of the elderly, but also pays more attention to their mental health.Compared with ordinary communities,all-age communities are oriented to people of all ages and focus more on intergenerational integration,so that the elderly can feel the continuous vitality of the community. This study takes the existing old communities in Wuxi from the 1970 s to the 1980 s as an example.Based on field investigations on their residential living spaces and residential public spaces, the methods of literature analysis, induction comparison, and behavior analysis are used to sort out the structure and use of their households. At the same time, according to the needs of households at various ages, combined with the prevailing domestic and foreign-aged community pension model, the principles and strategies for optimizing space for all ages are summarized as the needs of the elderly as the optimization benchmark, and the children as the interactive link, attracting the middle generation as interaction conditionsThe first part, the content is chapters one and two, through the analysis of the background of old community elderly care problems, with the help of the relevant theories of the all-age community, the old-friendly community,all-age community,cross-generational design and inclusive design methods, combined the construction method of the all-age community elderly care model based on the newly-built community, explores the ways to realize the all-age community residential space under the all-age community elderly care model. The second part, which is the third chapter, mainly analyzes the material space elements and the current situation of people’s use of residential quarters in Wuxi from the 1970 s to the 1980 s.The residential space is divided into residential living space and residential public space, respectively, from the built characteristics and the characteristics of household transformation. The three aspects of population use characteristics summarize the space and use characteristics of residential quarters in Wuxi during this period, and provide a direction for exploring the optimization of the all age.The third part, the content is the fourth and fifth chapters,All-age optimization strategy is proposed for the residential living space and residential public space of old communities. On the one hand,an all-age living mode is created in the residential living space, and on the other hand,an intergenerational communication space system is constructed in the residential public space,so as to achieve the goal of all-age in all aspects of residential space from the inside to the periphery. The interior of the house forms a state where all family members participate in interaction, and the periphery of the house forms a state of vigorous intergenerational communication in the community, taking into account the living environment of the middle-generation population and children in the community, and promoting the construction of a livable community for all ages. |
