| Shipbuilding and system integration project is very similar to an EPC project.It can be divided to two sub-projects,system design project and system integration project.Ship design is a complete vessel design.System integration means one supplier supplies most important equipment as a whole package,including main engine,power plant,generator,propulsion system and etc.The difference between an EPC project and captioned project,is the installation of system integration project will be carried out by customer.While an EPC project,supplier id responsible for installation of the equipment.Ship design and system integration project is more and more common on high value-added vessels.It has six main characteristics,high contract value,long life span of projects,many non-standard parts,high technical requirement,multi stakeholders,and frequent project changes.Due to the above reasons,the project will be out of control very easily if the company does not have the risk management.This paper analyzes one ship design and system integration project on LNG vessel.Risk identification is set up by means of Delphi method and experience in the past.Over 20 risk points are found after collecting experts’ feedback and then risk assessment is make by FAHP method and risk ranking is finalized.The 3 major risks are new technology,contract cancellation and final results mismatching with the technical agreement.Afterwards,according to the experts’ survey,get the risk review of this project,which is intermediate risky,by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.Then,making reactions according to the assessment result.According to risk assessment,it’s necessary to make effective risk response plan.Eventually,in order to make risk control and find problems in time,the company shall use earned value management to monitor the project. |
