The quality of engineering and technical talent directly determines the core competitiveness of a country's technology.In the 1990 s,the world's engineering education community proposed the "return to engineering practice" movement,and China also proposed the "Made in China 2025" strategic plan to adapt to China's national conditions.At present,engineering education reforms around the world are guided by the CDIO engineering education model created by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.“CDIO” is the abbreviation of the implementation content of the four projects.These four contents run through the four basic cores of engineering practice: Conceive,Design,Implement,and Operate.It can be seen that these four contents are based on the actual development of the first-line products and contain a complete life cycle.Therefore,the CDIO engineering education model has realized the engineering development vision of “cultivating practical talents under the real social background”.At present,dozens of applied universities in China have begun to actively carry out the localization practice of the CDIO engineering education model.However,how to ensure the effectiveness of the CDIO engineering education model in local practice has become a topic of concern for higher education researchers.In this context,in order to fully understand and grasp the cultivation status of local applied university engineering education talent training mode,this paper selects the second batch of CDIO engineering education model pilot school-a local applied university CDIO engineering education model in Liaoning as the research Objects to explore how local applied universities can improve the path and strategy of CDIO engineering education.This paper mainly adopts the combination of text analysis method,questionnaire method,interview method and case study method,and comprehensively understands the TOPCARES-CDIO(T-C)engineering education model with its own characteristics created by the school combined with the US CDIO engineering education model.On the basis of this,the software engineering major of this school is taken as a specific research case,and the status quo of the cultivation of talent training mode of local applied universities is investigated and analyzed from three dimensions: basic ability,curriculum experience and curriculum implementation.Through the analysis of the questionnaire survey and interview survey results,this paper finds the four aspects of the software engineering major in the implementation of the school's T-C training model,and the five problems.In view of the above problems,this paper proposes to develop a permutable curriculum structure,establish a practical practice environment,strengthen the construction of professional faculty,optimize the curriculum structure and its content,and fully implement the optimization strategy of the curriculum evaluation system.Cultivating reform provides reference and thinking.
