In an era of explosive growth of knowledge and rapid changes in technology and information,universities in various countries have paid more attention to the transformation of engineering education,which is related to the irreplaceable status of engineering technology in the development of the global economy.After the Ministry of Education proposed the concept of new engineering in 2016,it is the primary task to cultivate engineering innovation talents by improving the quality of engineering education.In recent years,China's traditional engineering education model has deviated from the track of engineering activity development,unable to conform to the development of the times,and can not meet the requirements of engineering talents in the new period of social development.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore and construct engineering education mode under the background of new engineering.This paper explores the engineering education modes of different universities,classifies them and discusses their commonality and difference analysis,to construct the development model of engineering education in China,meet the complex requirements of talent development,and then draw lessons for the reform of engineering education mode in China.The literature research part,the first chapter introduction,includes research origin,literature review,concept analysis,writing ideas and research methods.This part adopts the literature method,the case method and the comparative method,and combs the Chinese and foreign literatures with the keywords of “foreign engineering education model”,“commonity”,“differentiation” and “revelation”,and puts forward the research purpose and summary of this paper.Its typical implementation experience provides suggestions and inspiration for the engineering education model of Chinese universities in the context of new engineering.In the model research section,this part is composed of the second chapter "Study on the Classification of Engineering Education Models in Foreign Universities".The models are divided into three categories for foreign university cases.The first category of "enterprise-oriented needs" engineering education model,the engineering product,process conception,implementation and operation life cycle as the core of engineering education,export-oriented,based on the needs of enterprise employers as the core content;The second category of "engineering problem-oriented" engineering education model,that is,the real development of complex problems-oriented,to solve the problem,the students' self-designed problems and programs as the core content;the third category "experience-based guidance" The engineering education model focuses on the cultivation of industry-related skills,with creative creativity and innovation,teamwork,technical breadth and business skills.The feature research part,the third chapter "comparative study of the commonality and difference of the three types of models".This section analyzes the commonalities and differences of the three types of engineering education models.Commonality: returning to the engineering practice education concept;cultivating the curriculum goal of engineering professional ability;student-centered teaching mode,taking the characteristics of students' independent exploration projects and independent learning to learn,think and innovate.Difference: the difference in construction logic based on regression engineering practice;the difference in curriculum factors.The inspiration part,the fourth chapter,"Inspiration for the construction and improvement of engineering education model in Chinese universities." This part first summarizes the problems existing in the engineering education mode of Chinese universities,including the unclear direction of engineering education,the lack of comprehensive curriculum system,and the lack of innovation in teaching content.In view of this research,the experience of engineering education mode in universities is the engineering of Chinese universities.The improvement of education provides ideas and enlightenment,which is to promote the transformation of engineering education concepts,encourage the cultivation of engineering innovative talents,integrate the disciplinary platform,create a training channel for engineering majors,and focus on student-centered,school-enterprise integration teaching activities.
