The automobile industry plays an important role in the global economy.From the trend of global economic development in the last ten years,the production focus of the automobile industry has shifted to the emerging economies.In particular,China,as an important global market,has become a new force in the production of automobile industry.China's automobile production and sales has been the first globally for many years since 2009.Automobile parts industry is the foundation of automobile industry development.However,most of China's local enterprises are "gnawing" in the low-and mid-end products.Few of them are able to provide high quality automobile parts for global enterprises.The most important reason is that there is a shortage of Chinese auto parts enterprises in governing the "purchase-supply" partnership.At the same time academic research on the relationship between enterprises and strategic alliances has become the current research focus.The research object selected in this paper is ASIMCO which has become one of the largest Chinese independent automobile parts manufacturing group.ASIMCO does not only provide high-quality products for the domestic factory,but also becomes the excellent supplier of Volkswagen,Cummins and many other well-known multinational automobile company.Thus,this thesis discusses the partnership governance mechanism of ASIMCO and its clients from the perspective of strategic alliance.Combined with the theory of partnership governance and the strategic alliance study model,this paper integrates a "framework of partnership governance mechanism based on strategic alliances".By visiting the headquarters and three operation factories of ASIMCO,the author interviewed six senior executives.This thesis analyses the partnership governance mechanism of ASIMCO and its clients by the case study method?Research indicates that: 1.From the perspective of managers at different levels,the group-level managers pay more attention to the partnership governance of ASIMCO and international clients in an enterprise similar to the structure like ASIMCO(formerly affiliated factories and then headquarters);the factories managers pay more attention to the partnership governance of ASIMCO and domestic clients.2.From the perspective of clients with different attributes,formal control and informal control are mutually reinforcing now.And international clients are generally more formally controlled than domestic clients,and formal controls can promote informal control.Domestic clients and international clients have no significant difference in the degree of informal control.However,the focus is different.International clients focus on the cultural identity and reputation mechanism in informal control.Domestic clients focus on the private relationship in informal control.3.From the perspective of time continuity,the partnerships of ASIMCO and its international clients and domestic clients will both be strengthened in formal control and informal control in the future as the cooperation time increases,and for a long period of time,international clients will be generally higher in terms of formal control than domestic clients.4.From the perspective of learning,ASIMCO enhances its competitiveness by learning from clients in the course of cooperation and will create a two-way learning process with its clients.The purpose of this paper is to provide theoretical and practical support to the partnership governance of China's automobile parts enterprises and even other manufacturing enterprises with their clients.
