With the development of China's education reform,the teaching mode of higher education is changing gradually.The proportion of formal learning and informal learning will be balanced.The main object of this research is informal learning,which refers to autonomous learning without a fixed form,and its internalization of knowledge is higher than the classroom teaching's.However,due to the traditional education system and the way of talent training,the examination-oriented education is paid too much attention to,which restricts the extensive application of informal learning,and students lack reasonable and effective independent learning opportunities and awareness.Because of the influence of national government will,most of the university campuses construction process in China lack the consideration of the main users of them – students.Especially for the public spaces,they are hard to meet the students' rich life in the formal study,lacking the non-positive learning places.The students' learning and life on the campus are fixed on the three points of "classroom-dining hall-dormitory".Therefore,the campus builders create a purposeful public place hardly for informal learning on the campus.Lacking of the construction of spacial layers and atmosphere,public spaces on campuses are difficult to attract students to stay,to carry out various activities and to meet the diverse learning patterns of contemporary college students.According to the above problems,this paper puts forward the construction strategy of informal learning places on college campuses' public space by means of literature research,questionnaire,influence factor analysis and case analysis.That is breaking the traditional campus planning,campus landscape design and campus building design of the campus construction methods,according to the public space to divide and think.On the basis of this theory,this paper constructs the continuum framework of the campus informal learning places,and analyzes the various environmental factors in the campus public spaces based on the shared thinking and survey questionnaire,and further puts forward the concept unit model of shared learning and the informal learning concept unit model which is suitable for outdoor and indoor public space.Finally,combined with the case of excellent campus space at home and abroad,the combination of informal learning and informal learning is analyzed.According to the classification of external public space and internal public space,the eight sort of public spaces which are square,landscape,waterfront,walking,roof,entrance,transportation and atrium,are discussed respectively,and the construction strategy of informal learning places suitable for these spaces is discussed,and then the theoretical model of informal learning places is designed.
