Abstract/Summary:
Under the background of the current globalization of higher education,the university education model has changed from "teaching-based" to "learning-based",and more emphasis is placed on students’ autonomous learning.The new generation of college students is more and more individual,and often needs an equal and self-releasing place for more free informal learning.At the same time,the informal learning space in the campus has gradually been integrated into social activities such as entertainment and leisure,and has become a multi-functional place that combines learning and play.This type of place on campus that is different from traditional residential life and research and study places and is open to everyone to promote free communication and informal learning is called the third place on campus.However,at present,most campuses do not pay enough attention to such third places with informal learning functions.The main update goal of the informal learning space on campus is how to improve the utilization rate of auxiliary spaces inside campus buildings;Most of the academic research on the third place only stays at the level of how to improve the service quality,and rarely discusses the characteristics of the third place on the entire campus and its service to informal learning users from the perspective of campus space;it is not conducive to campus functions.The improvement of quality and the construction of "double first-class" colleges and universities.The third part puts forward the method of using network comment data to analyze the research object,and explains the definition,source and information processing method of network comment data;The fourth part analyzes the third place of Harvard University and MIT from the three perspectives of informal learning characteristics,spatial layout and use status of the third place on campus,and explores the indoor environmental factors of informal learning behavior preference in the third place on campus;The fifth part makes an in-depth discussion on the influencing factors of the third place on campus,and combined with the previous research results,puts forward the strategies for the spatial distribution and internal environment design of the third place on campus,in order to provide reference for the construction of the third place on campus in our country.The sixth part summarizes the main conclusions,reflects on the deficiencies in the research,and looks forward to the next stage of research.Therefore,under the background that the idea of informal learning is increasingly valued by university education,this paper uses the online review data to analyze the behavioral characteristics,distribution characteristics,spatial characteristics and usage of world-class universities in the third place on campus from four perspectives.The third campuses of Harvard University and MIT,which are at the forefront of the team,were analyzed,and correlation analysis was used to explore the indoor environment elements preferred by informal learning users in the third campus;Finally,it discusses the influencing factors of the third place on campus,and puts forward the design strategy of the third place on campus combined with the previous research,in order to provide reference for the construction of the third place on campus in our country.
