Special education is an important part of national education,and also one of the standards to assess the degree of civilization of a country.China has currently 85 million of people with disabilities of different type but merely 1853 special education schools in total.China still faces problem of lack special schools.The research in the field of this kind of architecture is still weak.The perception of the design principles,the understanding of the special requirements and features functions remains insufficient.We still face the challenges as how to build a special education school buildings consistent with design specifications,which reflects humanity and meet the psychological and physiological needs of students with disabilities as well as how to provide a safe and comfortable learning and living environment for them.This paper adopts methods such as literature research,field research,system analysis,practical examples to investigate architecture of special school and the user-friendly design of the environment.The paper presents the research status and development trend of domestic and foreign special education school architecture and the environment and defines the importance and difficulty of user-friendly design.It further summarize the successful experience and analyze the existing problems in special education school buildings and user-friendly environment design through the analysis of psychological and behavioral students with special needs as well as field research on several special education schools.It endeavors to find a solution summarizing elements of humane space,introducing a new design concept and concrete design strategies and practical projects.It then validates the feasibility of new design techniques in order to summarize the research results of this paper.This thesis consists of three parts and five chapters.The first part is an introduction,briefly describes the background and significance of the topic,and the status of current study of domestic and foreign special education schools.It defines the contents,methods and presents questions and research ideas.The second part,including chapter two and three,analyzes the problems,the behavior psychology and requirements of disabled students,and through onsite research of some special education schools,concludes basis of design based on a comprehensive analysis of current status.The third part,including chapter four and five,presents the design principles based on major points,summarizes new idea of design and validates the feasibility of design method via practical engineering project.The architecture of special education building reflects in certain the development of the concept and schema of special education.Under the environment that the country strives to develop education business of disabled people,it is of great practical significance to study the status of the architecture and environment of special education school,to compare the successful case of humanization design of foreign special education school and to present practical method for architecture design. |
