| As a kind of special social group,mentally retarded children are different with normal children in terms of intelligence and behavior.According to the Second National Survey of Disabled Persons,there are about 620,000 children with mental disabilities in our country.However,because our country’s disability survey is not comprehensive and the screening system is relatively backward and the conclusion and statistics data of WHO asserts that there is one child with mental retardation in every 100 children,Chinese children with mental retardation should be far more than 620,000.Due to some innate or acquired factors,mentally retarded children’s intelligence is lower than normal children and they are difficult to assimilate into normal social life.In addition,imperfect social welfare system has also made these children’s parents worry about the survival of their children in the future,so the treatment of targeted rehabilitation may allow them to learn self-care ability or even self-reliance and half self-reliance ability for social life.Compared with the mature settlement system,the perfect hardware facilities,the professional medical staffs and teachers and the good campus environment in foreign countries,the special education in our country starts late and the relevant system is insufficient in maturity and incomprehensive in development.In particular,the campus environment is not paid enough attention,which leads to the lack of the campus environmental art in most special education schools.However,a good campus environment still plays a role of rehabilitation and is very critical and should not be ignored for its positive effect in causing children’s changes with an imperceptible pattern.The purpose of this topic is to integrate the horticultural therapy method,the animal-assisted therapy method,other rehabilitation methods and the environmental art design together and to analyze the existing problems in the campus environment of the special education schools and the real needs of the mentally retarded children by means of field survey,on-the-spot investigation and questionnaire survey.By improving the function of on-campus rehabilitation,integrating campus greening landscapes and designing the in-school landscape scenes that can be enjoyed by different ages of children,it is able to build a functional and suitable on-campus rehabilitation environment with delicate landscapes,so as to provide a reference and theoretical support for future researches. |
