In modernized enterprise management,human resources are becoming more important for the enterprises.Performance management takes the central position in human resource management,which is the crucial step to implement the whole enterprise strategic targets into concrete daily routine jobs and make the employees to make efforts towards the direction of enterprise targets.Inner Mongolia Pacific Mining Co,Ltd,as the state-owned resources enterprise with over 5 years experiences carrying out performance appraisal,verifies the effectiveness of the performance management,and meanwhile,realizes the current appraisal system refraining it from enhancing the whole company competitiveness.Now it's trying to seek for more scientific and reasonable approaches and methods to improve its employee performance appraisal.Firstly,this essay introduced the nowadays situation of human resources and performance management within the state-owned resources enterprises,summarized the current and nationally well-acknowledged and practiced performance appraisal theories.Secondly,I introduced the current status of human resources and performance appraisal within Inner Mongolia Pacific Mining Co,Ltd,based on the current advanced performance appraisal methodologies,and analyzed the problems existing in Inner Mongolia Pacific Mining Co,Ltd employee performance appraisal system.Thirdly,with the utilization of the job analysis methodology,I defined the employees KPI(key performance indicators),and rebuilt the indicators system with wider coverage,better structure,better balanced evaluation and organic combination of quantitativeness and qualitativeness.Fourthly,I adopted the 360 degrees appraisal methods to comprehensively evaluate work performances,attitudes and capabilities of employees,improve the performance communications and feedback channels,specify the publicity and appealing procedures,reinforce the appraisal result appliances,and form the motivation system.Finally,measures to support actions above including the company rules and organizations were proposed.The improved employee performance appraisal index system is more suitable for the employees working roles and responsibilities,more tailor-made,more scientific and balanced for the index weight allocation,more humanized for the performance c ommunication and feedback,more applicable for the overall operation,and it also hel ps Inner Mongolia Pacific Mining Co,Ltd and its counterparts in the same industry's employee performance appraisal with more concrete guideline and acceleration,there fore it eventually achieves the strategic target to make enterprises to reduce the cost,enhance the efficiency,increase the profits,and upgrade the overall team levels.
