interpretations.From the perspective of folk symbol,this paper takes the villagers of shouxian county,Huainan city,Anhui province as the research object,and studies the process of their production and consumption of soil food,and finds out the symbolic significance,construction process and cultural representation of the symbols attached to the soil food,and presents the choices of People's Daily life in the traditional concepts and modern social changes,and illustrates the flourishing cultural reasons of the local food market.This paper is made up of the introduction,the four chapters and the conclusion.In the introduction part briefly introduces the paper's theoretical basis,concept,research methods and important ideas.The first chapter defines the concept of soil food,and points out the five characteristics of local soil food in Shouxian county based on the analysis of its characteristics.The second chapter analyzes from the family perspective,it is that parent who often practice agricultural production,far away from agricultural production due to various causes,and become "homesickness";children are never or rarely engaged in agricultural production,as for suitors "rural
