| The investigation of organization's ambidexterity is a challenge in the researches of management sciences.The existent literature has shown a positive relation between dynamic capability and corporate innovation.Meanwhile,few empirical studies are conducted to explain how this relation impacts on the balanced and combined dimension of ambidexterity(exploratory and exploitative innovation),and how social network moderates this relation.By a relational model of dynamic capability,ambidexterity,and social network,this study has conducted multiple regression analysis on the data collected from 350 SMEs.The effects of dynamic capability on the combined and balanced dimension of ambidextrous innovation and the moderating effects of relational network and structural network on the above relations are discussed.The results show that :(1)Dynamic capability is in significant positive relation with both the balanced and combined dimension of ambidextrous innovation;(2)the two dimensions of social network,i.e.relational network and structural network all play an inverted U moderation on the correlation between dynamic capability and ambidexterity:(3)relational network has a stronger moderation than that of structural network on the dynamic capability-ambidexterity relation,and relational network has a larger moderation space than that of structural network.In all,the theoretical contribution of this study is to empirically prove the coordination of dynamic capability on ambidextrous innovation through a moderated model to enrich and support the theories of dynamic capability and ambidexterity.And its main practical usage lies in that,to provide guidance in how SMEs can use dynamic capability to break through the dilemma of ambidexterity.And as the samples are all from the SMEs,it is expected that the research result of study can be useful for SMEs practice in emerging economies,and it is perhaps meaning for effective application of occidental theories in emerging economies' context. |
