The Huanggushan Nature Reserve in Jiangkou County was located in Ton gren City,Guizhou Province. It was located in the northeast of Guizhou Provi nce.It was a sloping zone in the transition from the Guizhou Plateau to the h ills of western Hunan, and there was a flat land between the low mountains a nd many hills.Geographical position across longitude108°30?—109°06?E,latitude27°27?—27°58?.Huanggushan Nature Reserve was a subtropical continental mons oon climate with abundant rainfall, pleasant climate, beautiful mountains and ri vers, abundant resources, annual mean temperature of 16.2 ? and annual avera ge precipitation of 1369.6 mm.The soil was mainly yellow soil and brown soi l.Because of the unique geographical and climatic environment, the water and heat resources were abundant, had the superior natural geographical condition a nd was very suitable for the forest growth, was one of the most abundant area s of the alpine flora. The species diversity of lycophytes and ferns in Huangush an Nature Reserve was studied by field investigation, specimen collection and identification, and related literature data. The research content of this thesis mainly included four parts:(1)the curr ent situation of lycophytes and ferns in Huanggushan Natural Reserve.(2)the a nalysis about the flora of lycophytes and ferns in Huanggushan Natural Reserv e.(3)the ecological characteristics of lycophytes and ferns in Huanggushan Nat ural Reserve.(4)the exploring and utilizing of the lycophytes and ferns in Hua nggushan Natural Reserve. The results showed that:(1)In Huanggushan Nature Reserve, there were 20 fami lies,62 genera and 140 species of lycophytes and ferns, accounting for 50%,34.83%,6.17% of China respectively,in which,2 families,3 genera,and9 sp ecies belonged to lycophytes, and 18 families,59 genera, and 131 species belo nged to ferns. The dominant family of lycophytes was Selaginellaceae and the dominant genera was Selaginella. However, the dominant family of ferns were Dr yopteridaceae ?Pteridaceae and Polypodiaceae. The dominant genera of lycophyt es was Selaginella, but the dominant genera of ferns were Pteris?Polystichum?Asplenium?Dryopteris and Arachniodes respectively.(2)The floristic geographical elements of the reserve were complex and diverse. The geographical elements at genus level can be divided into 11 distributiontypes and 4 distributionsubtyp es,of which the pantropic genera were dominant, such as Dicranopteris?Dennst aedtia and Parathelypteris, accounting for 40.00% of total genera. The geographic al flora at species level can be divided into 10 distribution types and 4distribut ion subtypes,of which the East Asian distribution and China endemic distributi on constituted the main part of the geographical flora in the reserve and there were 69 species, accounting for 51.50% of the total species. It can be seen thatthe lycophytes and ferns in this reserve were in the East subflora. There were28 subtypes of China-Japan distribution, accounting for 20.90% of the total nu mber of species and 11 subtypes of China-Himalayan distribution,acco-unting fo r 8.21% of the total number of species. The results showed that the lycophytes and ferns in Huanggushan Nature Reserve were more closely related to Japan i n the East Asian fauna.Compared with the other six regions, the order of co mprehensive coefficient of flora was Kuankuo river > Bixia peak >Huanggush an > Mayang river> Jiuhuashan > Lengdong river> Jigongshan.Huanggushan ra nked the third in the seven regions,in which lycophytes and ferns were very r ich.The relationship of similarity coefficient between Huanggushan Natural Res erve and Kuankuoriver was the most closed.(3)The ecological environment typ es of lycophytes and ferns in the reserve were mainly terrestrial, epiphytic, lith ophytic, lianas, aquatic. There were 75 species living in terrestria, accounted for53.57% of the total species. The second type was epiphytic, accounted for 33.57% of the total species.(4)There were 8 families,10 genera and14 species o f edible lycophytes and ferns.16 families,40 genera and 83 species which can b e used in medicine, the dominant families were Dryopteridaceae?Pteridaceae?Thelypteridaceae and Polypodiaceae. In addition, there were many lycophytes an d ferns which can beused in ornamenting, indicating, feed fertilizer, and etc.By constructing the comprehensive evaluation system of landscape application, ther e were 10 species of lycophytes and ferns with relative high ornamental value, which were Selaginella uncinata?Lemmaphyllum drymoglossoides?Drynaria roosi i?Cyrtogonellum fraxinellum?Cyrtomium caryotideum?Neolepisorus fortunei?Os munda japonica?Asplenium prolongatum?Aleuritopteris argentea and Neolepisorus o vatus. The prospects for exploring and utilizing were broad.
