Study On The Flora And Resources Utilization Of Vascular Plants In Zhouzhi Laoxiancheng Nature Reserve

Zhouzhi Laoxiancheng Nature Reserve which is for protecting giant pandas is a type of forest and wildlife Nature Reserve. The Nature Reserve on the upper Xushui river lies in the southern slope of the middle of Qingling Mountains. It is connected with Zhouzhi National Nature Reserve in east side, Foping National Nature Reserve in south side, Changqing National Nature Reserve in west side and Taibai Mountain National Nature Reserve in north side. Covering an area of 12 611 square kilometers. This Nature Reserve plays an important role in the panda's gene exchange and population rejuvenation for connecting some island habitat to be together such as Zhouzhi, Foping, Changqing, Taibai, Huangbai etc. So, it is important to study on the biodiversity system of the Nature Reserve. Based on the former research, we did a system research on vascular plants flora, and also did primary research on the rare and endangered plant and resource plant. The result is showed as follows:Firstly, there are various plants in the Nature Reserve. It has 129 families, 493 genera and 1211 species vascular plants, accounts for 68.6% of family, 50.9% of genera and 35.3% of species in the Qingling Mountains; the pteridophyta contains 20 families, 40 genera and 80 species in this Nature Reserve, accounts for 66.7% of family, 51.9% of genera and 26.3% of species in the Qingling Mountains'pteridophyta; the wild seed plants contain 109 families, 453 genera and 1131 species in this Nature Reserve, account for 69.0% of family, 50.8% of genera and 36.2% of species in the Qingling Mountains'seed plants.Secondly, the flora elements are various, also has the temperate region features. In Zhouzhi Laoxiancheng Nature Reserve, the family flora composition of Pteridophyta has three types, the word distribution is the big one, the genera flora composition has ten types, the north temperate region distribution is the big one, the species flora composition has six types, endemicto China and E. Asia are the dominate types. The flora composition of seed plants in this Nature Reserve contains fifteen types and eleven subtypes, endemicto China and E. Asia are the dominate types. From the analyse of this paper, we can see that this Nature Reserve has clearly temperate region features.Thirdly, endemic types to China are different.
