Jinping County is located in the southeast corner of Guizhou Province, back to Qian and faces Chu, eastern borders by Jingzhou County in Hunan Province, south to Liping County, west adjoins Jianhe County, North arrives in Tianzhu County.Extending across east longitude 108°48 '37 "to 109°24' 35", north latitude 26°23 '29 "to 26°46' 49", with a total land area of 1596 square kilometers. Jinping is located in the geomorphological slope zone from the Miaoling Mountains which lies to the eastern edge of Yun Gui Plateau to the Xiangxi Low hills basin.Throughout the topography can be divided into four categories: corrosion?erosion?denudation and erosion accumulation, mainly composed of mild deterioration of sand rock, sandstone, tuff. Jinping in the subtropical humid monsoon climate zone. In its territory, vegetation condition is good, so it has the corresponding adjustment to the climate distribution, therefore the climate is temperate, the rainfall is abundant.According to the geographical latitude and climate conditions of the county, it should be a county which has abundant species of lycophytes and ferns. But there was no related research reports. The main work of this paper is to carry out a comprehensive survey of the Lycophytes and ferns in Jinping County, and to study the species, flora and utilization in the area. To have the following meaning: checking the lycophytes and ferns species composition of the area provides theoretical basis for cataloging species diversity, also it provides information for the ecological study of ferns in the future; understand the flora characteristics of the area; provides the important theoretical basis for comprehensive developmentand and protection of the higher economic value lycophytes and ferns in Jinping County. In this paper, the five aspects of the lycophytes and ferns protection were studied in the area:First, the lycophytes and ferns species composition of Jinping CountyThe lycophytes and ferns species composition of Jingping county is studied through typical route survey method. The results showed that: Territory of Jinping county has lycophytes 2 families, 3 genera and 11 species, ferns 21 families, 53 genera, 113 species. Composition of families and genera is perfect, high species richness, the dominant genera of ferns are Pteris?Dryopteris?Athyrium?Arachniodes ?Polystichum?Asplenium and Parathelypteris, the dominant genera of lycophytes is only Selaginellaceae.Second, the floristic characteristics of lycophytes and ferns in Jinping CountyTypical route survey method is carried out to study the floristic characteristics of lycophytes and ferns in Jinping County. The results show that: judging from the genus, the region has a tropical nature in history, a total of 35 tropical distribution genera, accounting for 77.8% of the total genera(except for the world distribution);judging from the species,it belongs to the East Asia flora, East Asia distribution accounted for the highest, accounted for the total number of 60.8%, accounted for77.5% of temperate elements, 15 species belonging to the Chinese- Himalayas distribution(SH), 42 species belonging to the China- Japan distribution(SJ),indicating that the lycophytes and ferns in Jinping County is closely related to Japan.Compared to other regions, the similarity coefficient of genus is higher, and the similarity coefficient of species is relatively low.Relative to several other regions, Shiqian County is closest to Jinping County, advantageous to species exchange, climate types and vegetation types are the same, so the similarity coefficient of genera and species are the highest; Pan County is furthest away from the Jinping County, climate types and vegetation types are different from Jinping County, the similarity coefficient of genera and species are the lowest;Compared with Shiqian County, Mayanghe is relatively away from Jinping County, hindered species exchanges, although the type of climate and vegetation types are the same, but relative to Shiqian County, the genus and species similarity index are lower.Third, the ecological characteristics of lycophytes and ferns in Jinping CountyThe survey showed that the ecological characteristics of lycophytes and ferns in Jinping County can be divided into six categories according to ecological environment: namely terrestrial(indigenous) fern, lithophytic fern, aquatic ferns, epiphytic ferns, marsh fern, vine fern, terrestrial(native) lycophytes and ferns accounted for absolute advantage in Jinping County, a total of 98 species, accounting for 79.03% of the total number of species.Fourth, the distribution of species under different forest vegetation typesThrough the distribution survey of lycophytes and ferns in common forest type, masson pine forest, fir forest and hook castanopsis forest have abundant species of lycophytes and ferns, phyllostachy pubescens forest, castanopsis eyeri forest and southern red bean fir forest have less species of lycophytes and ferns.Fifth, the garden value comprehensive evaluation of lycophytes and ferns in Jinping CountyMethod of AHP is used to evaluate lycophytes and ferns in Jinping County. The results show that: a total of 24 species of lycophytes and ferns has good ornamental in Jingping county, can be development and utilization. They are: Cibotium barometz?Pteris cretica?Osmunda japonica?Salvinia natans?Nephrolepis auriculata?Selaginella uncinata?Asplenium trichomanes?Lepisorus thunbergianus?Osmunda vachellii?A. tripteropus?Drynaria roosii?Vandenboschia striata?Lygodium japonicum?Aleuritopteris argentea ?M. quadrifolia?Microsorum fortunei ? Neolepisorus ovatus ? A. prolongatun ? Arachmiodes simplicior ?Diplopterygium laevissimum?Asplenium wrightii?Dryopteris sieboldii?Selaginella doederleinii and Blechnum orientale.
