Reading is an effective way for human beings to acquire scientific knowledge,pass on civilization development,and promote social progress.It plays a decisive role in the progress of the country and the nation.The library,which integrates a large number of literature books and various types of knowledge and information into one,provides the students with access to cultural knowledge and places for fostering sentiment,but at the same time it plays a supporting role in the education and teaching of the school.Take responsibility for the extensive education of the entire society.In recent years,China has actively promoted reading and promotion activities.The importance of public libraries as the backbone of reading promotion in our country is self-evident.With the continuous development of science and technology,the arrival of the information society has severely impacted people's reading habits.Although the number of reading places that the Chinese people can choose at present is increasing,they are continuously declining both in terms of the proportion of people and the distribution of time.As a group of high-level intellectuals,college students' reading level is related to the future of the country and the nation.However,we found that today's university students are keener to select computer networks and mobile phones to complete the reading experience than libraries,and their content tends to be more entertaining.We can easily find out that comparing a university library to a public library has the characteristics of a large number of books,a rich bibliography,and a large number of copies.For this reason,public libraries constantly try to guide college students' reading behavior through various forms of content-based reading promotion activities.From this we can see that in order to further enhance the reading interest of college students and establish the correct reading direction for them,the reading and promotion activities of public libraries based on the cooperation between libraries and schools can be described as the trend of the times.This article first elaborates on the concept of library-university cooperation,investigates and analyzes the current status of reading promotion through questionnaires,and summarizes the characteristics and existing problems in the cooperative library reading and promotion of public libraries in China.Based on the current problems and combining with the actual situation in China,reasonable suggestions and solutions are proposed.Finally,by analyzing the safeguard measures in reading promotion,it provides a strong guarantee for the development of reading promotion.Further meet the diversified information needs of college students,and achieve the efficient use of public library information resources,with a view to optimizing the domestic public library reading promotion activities.
