With the popularization of lifelong-learning,institutionalized school education is no longer the only way for the public to acquire knowledge,and thus,more are focused on museums.Therefore,museum is no longer a place where only collects and studies the collection of cultural relics,but also one of the most important places to educate the public.So far,the total number of museums around the world has exceeded 27000.Compared with the current situation of museums in developed countries such as Britain and America,the number of museums in China is also numerous,with abundant exhibits,but the educational function of museums is still not well-developed.Moreover,the self-guided worksheets,which are one of the most important intermediaries and tools for museum learning,are also not well developed or well applied.Besides,the research and design of worksheets in museums is not only a hot topic in the field of museum learning,but also an important manifestation of the comprehensive application of educational technology in museums learning.Therefore,this research will foucs on self-guided worksheets.Based on the background mentioned above,this paper starts with sorting out relevant literature and theoretical models both at home and abroad,and then selects 7 representative self-guided worksheets in the influential museums at home and abroad as cases to compare and study.Secondly,based on the above theoretical basis and the rules analyzed in the case studies,10 elements that need to be considered in designing self-guided worksheets are summarized.Then,according to these 10 elements,a set of self-guided worksheet were developed for China's “Comfort Women” Historical Museum,and the effectiveness of the self-guided worksheet was verified through an experiment.At last,according to the results of experiments and feedback from the self-guided worksheet users,2 more elements were raised,thus there are 12 elements in total to be considered when designing self-guided worksheets.In conclusion,in this paper,not only 12 elements were concluded in designing self-guided worksheets,but also designed a set of self-guided worksheets for China's “Comfort Women” Historical Museum,which will still be used in this museum to help visitors get a better visit experience and learning effect.Thus,this research can provide reference for other museums when designing self-guided worksheets.
