Design And Implementation Of JBPM Based Electronic Worksheets System

Workflow technology has became a research focus in the field of computer applications since 1990's, which is the key technology to model and optimize the enterprise business process and eventually realize the automation of business process. It is of significance to improve enterprises'degree of informationization, work efficiency and competitiveness. However, workflow technology is still immature, i.e. there is much work to be done. JBPM (Java Business Process Management) is a powerful and scalable lightweight framework that can be used to cover the shortage of current workflow systems to some extend. JBPM is practical to research workflow system, since it has plenty of functions and it is easier to configure and define workflow. Based on worksheets management subsystem of China Unicom IDC traffic flow and resource management platform, the author did lots of research and practice in this paper.Firstly, this paper introduces the workflow technology comprehensively, including the concept of workflow, research focus, function and structure of workflow management system.In addition, this paper enlarges on JBPM-based workflow system, introduces principle, advantage and modeling in details.Through the analysis of functional requirements of worksheets management subsystem of China Unicom IDC traffic flow and resource management platform, this paper determined the functional model, completed the outline of the system architecture. On the basis of integration platform between J2EE and jBPM, it provides a jBPM-based workflow system, in which we use struts in charge of control management, Spring in charge of business management, and hibernate in charge of database persistence layer design, under the guidance of component-based, object-oriented development model. At last, this paper descriptes the implementation platform of the worksheets management system in details, and show the ease of use and scalability of this system as well.JBPM-based worksheets management system realizes the convertion of traditional worksheets management system to electronic information. At the same time, it provides a set of computer-based network management solutions to reduce the labor intensity and office expenses; and it improves the efficiency and safety. Besides, it separates process management and business efficiently and makes the flexible development of process management become true.
