Design And Implementation Of Worksheets System Based On Lightweight Workflow Engine

Facing the fierce competition in the market with rising cost, many companies have brought up the need of work flow automation. These enterprises expect to shorten the work flow time, react promptly to clients'requirements, improve the efficiency of internal communications and estimate the cost and bottleneck of these work flows in order to reduce management overhead and speed up the decision making process. The automation of work flow has become the key issue of whether a company can survive in the market and the technology of implementing the automation-workflow technologies have become the buzz word in many IT companies.The research thesis comes from a real world project, which is the internal report system of Nanjing Sunning Electronics. The thesis focuses on the current research development of workflow automation. The light-weight workflow engine-HollyFlow that was developed by the company was analyzed in terms of its flexibility and extensibility. The report system was based on the analysis of HollyFlow; it is customizable, stable and implemented 5 modes that HollyFlow engine did not support.The report system is currently in production and well-received after two months' production launch. It aids in the improvement of system reaction and transaction handling, and further improves the quality of service.
