In modern society,people's demands for voice and data transmission are getting higher and higher,while at the same time,the rapid increase of bandwidth usage can easily lead to the congestion of the urban transmission network.Therefore,it is necessary to redesign and optimize the urban transmission network.On the one hand,the security of the network needs to be improved,on the other hand,the bandwidth needs to be increased and more quality services should be provided.2016 is an important year for China mobile to fully develop LTE construction.There are still some bottlenecks in the existing urban transmission network,which cannot meet the demand of LTE high bandwidth in the future.Specifically,there are two problems.Firstly,the access layer network of the urban transmission network is inconsistent with the current high broadband service.The second aspect is that the network architecture used in the urban transmission network(PTN)cannot meet the requirements of the whole business development.Therefore,in order to meet the rapid development of LTE,it is necessary to accelerate the construction of the basic network facilities for full-service operation,to improve the competitiveness of the whole business,to adapt to the future network evolution,and to improve the security of local transmission network,so as to optimize the construction of urban transmission network and to construct clear,safe and reliable network in Chengdu with adequate capacity and easy to maintain and manage.At present,PTN network is not protected by ring network,thus the business path is too long,and high failure rate is caused.These are disadvantages to the circuit pass back and scheduling of large metropolitan area network.It is necessary to improve the survivability of the sub-carrying service of core layer,to load ASON on core layer level or to add the OLP function in order to track and timely introduce PTN ring network technology.The security of the network stability and resource use efficiency should be improved to adapt to the development of future business.In order to meet the requirements of communication business development,and to exert certain impact on macro economy,social development and its economic benefits,we should speed up the construction of metropolitan area network.Network planning and construction should be combined with and guided by the concept of network optimization,focusing on long-term development and to build an efficient and high quality transmission network.This paper mainly discusses the design and optimization of metropolitan transmission network.The present situation of transmission network is first analyzed.Then the principles and process of the design and optimization of metropolitan transmission network are analyzed.The paper also proposes a new scheme after analyzing the design and optimization of metropolitan transmission network.A quadratic cut-over PTN convergence ring optimization scheme is proposed and Two-point upgrade PTN access ring optimization scheme is proposed.Based on the theoretical basis of the new scheme,the concrete project is carried out.After optimization,the protection performance,safety performance,ultra-long alarm,and overclock alarm are tested.The test results verify that the optimized network achieves the aim:to improve user experience.
