With the rapid development of the informationization constructions in China, the LTE in wireless began to large-scale deployment in our country and the whole network speed project in the fixed-linebroadband has been started. With the maturity and development of various servers, the bussnisses of China unicom will gradually in local networks include 2g/3g/LTE business, special line, fixed broadband, IPTV, business group clients with the coordinated development of the business world. Therefore, planning and design of a multi-server overall carrying and transfer networkwith high reliability, strong expansibility, good performance and low cost is particularly important. This paper combined with our experience in network construction and planning, the characteristics of new transmission technologiesare studied, the present situation of YiYang Unicom current local transmission network is analyzed, and the prediction of the development of various business needs and the demands of local transmission network is presented. According to the evolution of technology route, the optimization method of Yi Yang unicom local transport network is proposed and its implementation effect is presented.In this paper, optimization scheme for local transport network of YiYang unicom is discussed in details and the optimization and construction plans for the IPRANand the MSTP networks is presented. In terms of IPRAN system architecture, two gathering nodes in each district or county of Yi Yang city forming "口" model of loop structure with the two core nodes. In additions, backbone fiber optic cable structure is optimized in the access layer, in order to make independent IPRAN device ring for the comprehensive business point. Flow monitoring schemes are put forword to master network operation and design optimization and capacity expansionprograms. In terms of MSTP network of YiYang unicom, at present, the construction of MSTP network scale isstrictly controlled, and the focus of mining the potential of the existing network. According to IPRAN system networking schemes, the construction requirements are given in the access trunk cable between counties and townships, city-county OTN system and county-township OTN system.
