Along with the continuous development and maturation of IP technology, telecom services mainly refers to broadband data are increasing rapidly. And the existing system of SDH has already can't satisfied the requirements for transport of various services such as broadband data etc. Therefore, to accommodate the demands for technology development of multiple services mainly refers to broadband data , It is very necessary To program and construct a metro tansport network with big capacity, high velocity, multi-services and intelligengce.Based on the analysis and comparison among several main metro optical transort technology and there trends of develepment, and in consideration of actual circumstance of transmission network in Weifang city , This thesis puts forward a solution project to metro transport network in Weifang city by method of SDH+MSTP+DWDM technologies. The near and middle future project are introduced as the emphasis part, and carries on the first step study to the long-term programming that regards the technique of ASON as the core.Chapter 1 provides a basic concept and characteristicses of metro area network and metro transport network, the layering structure and services applications of the metro transpor network.Chapter 2 describes briefly about Three kinds of main techniques appling in metro transport network:RPR, MSTP and DWDM/ CDWM, analyzing there basic principle, the technique characteristics and applications in metro transport network.Chaper 3 introduces the present condition and basic circumstances of transmission network in Weifang city.Chapter 4 describes the programming project to metro transport network in Weifang city,mainly introduces the near future project with MSTP technique and middle project with DWDM technique, and made a brief introduction for the long-term programming of the core to the ASON. Chapter 5 delivers the technical development trend of optical transport technology.
