Frequency diverse array radar is a new type of radar.Frequency diverse array has significantly different characteristics to traditional arrays.Their beams have the characteristics of a function of time,distance,and orientation.This new feature can be applied in many fields.The frequency diverse array radar can be widely used in radar-target range-azimuth joint estimation,radio frequency stealth and front-view detection and imaging.The radar frequency source is a key component of the radar system,and its performance will directly affect the performance of the entire radar system.With the continuous development of frequency synthesis technology,radar frequency sources have increasingly higher demands on phase noise and spurious.Therefore,it has great significance to develop high-performance frequency diverse array radar frequency sources.In this thesis,according to the characteristics of frequency diverse array radar frequency source,by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different schemes and combining the characteristics of various frequency sources,the design scheme of the combination of mixer and phase-locked loop is adopted finally.The main work of this thesis is as follows:1.Summarize the function,structure and domestic and foreign research status of radar frequency sources.Since the requirement of coherence frequency sources of frequency diverse arrays,the principle of coherence is introduced.Two common implementation of coherent frequency source were introduced.2.According to the requirements of the frequency diverse array radar frequency source and the features of various frequency source schemes,an X-band frequency diverse array radar frequency source scheme is proposed and the feasibility of the scheme is analyzed.3.Design the hardware circuits of the frequency source according to the selected scheme.Complete the device selection and FPGA programming,and finally debugged the frequency source as a whole,analyze and solve the problems encountered in debugging and finally meet the needs of the frequency source.4.A microstrip array antenna was designed and fabricated to meet the requirements of frequency diverse array radar testing.The final output signal can cover the frequency band 9.8GHz-10 GHz,with spurious-55 dBc and phase noise superior to-98dBc/Hz@1kHz,-105dBc/Hz@10kHz.It satisfies the design requirements,and it also has the advantages of simple configuration and flexibility.In order to meet the testing requirements of frequency diverse array radar,a microstrip array antenna was designed in this thesis which can satisfy the test requirements.
