In recent years,with the wide application of radar in guidance,electronic warfare and detection imaging fields,radar technology has also been rapidly developed.Frequency Diverse Array is a new array radar technique proposed in recent years.Unlike conventional phased array radar,frequency diverse array radar uses a very small frequency shift across its array elements to provide a beam pattern which focuses direction changes as a function of the time,angle and range in the far field.This new beam property offers many promising advantages for communication,radar,interference countermeasure applications and so on.Frequency synthesizer as the key part of the frequency diverse array radar system,its performance will directly affect the performance of the entire frequency diverse array radar system,so it is essential to develop the multi-channel direct frequency synthesizer for frequency diverse array radar system.According to the demand for frequency synthesizer of frequency diverse array radar system,the “Mixing Phase-locked Loop”structure employed in this article as the main frame of the frequency synthesizer system,designing and implementing the multi-channel direct phase-coherent frequency synthesizer for frequency diverse array radar system.The characteristic of this project is that it can not only satisfy the special requirements of multichannel signal of frequency diverse array radar frequency synthesizer,but also can ensure the phase coherence well of multi-channel signal of the system,and each module in the frequency synthesizer system can be configured flexibly,so that the system can be widely used in various array radar systems.This is the task of designing and implementing the multi-channel direct phase-coherent frequency synthesizer for frequency diverse array radar system:1.Summarized the development of the frequency diverse array radar and the research status of the array radar frequency synthesizer at home and abroad in recent years,and introduces the advantages of the frequency diverse array radar compared with the traditional radar system briefly.2.Analysed the traditional radar frequency synthesis techniques,take the Direct Digital Synthesizer and ”Mixing Phase-locked Loop” structure as the system frame to design frequency diverse array radar frequency synthesizer,and verify the function and indicator of frequency synthesizer system output signal.3.Chose each module chip reasonable according to the system scheme and functional planning for each module,and given the design process for each module.4.Completed the system hardware and software module debugging,analyzed and solved problems encountered during debugging;Completed system module joint debugging,and verify the function and index of the output signal of the frequency synthesizer system.
