Research On Construction And Communication Of Regional Culture Image

Regional cultural image is of enormous impact on regional developments.It intrinsically serves as education and doctrines,determining people's value orientation,and at the same time,it promotes culture communication and boosts regional economy,which are fundamental.However,studies on regional cultural image are limited on relics,tourism and design instead of a communication perspective on the design and communication of it and thus,follow-ups await.Based on the current situation,this thesis takes Tongwei county of Gansu province,one in the top list of Chinese Hometowns of Calligraphy and Painting art nominated by ministry of culture,as a typical example to analyze its cultural image development through field research.It sorts out the development pathway and communication mode of painting and calligraphy in Tongwei and summarizes features of them by on-site study of image development and by applying theories from communication and sociology.At the same time,we try to put forth a reference for regional cultural image's communication and development theoretically and practically.Through field research on central artists of Tongwei calligraphy and painting,from collective memories of three generations of them,and by excavating their values,aesthetic standards,cultural recognition and so forth,the thesis delves into historical causes and system of calligraphy and painting art of Tongwei in combination with its development and communication.Based on these Tongwei phenomena,we discuss the current situation and suggestions for regional cultural development and communication by relevant case studies.Herein,by our research,Tongwei's cultural image was built-up intrinsically and extrinsically.Intrinsic driving forces include rich history and culture,specialgeological environment and impact of scholar-bureaucrat culture;whereas,extrinsic driving forces are of media,government propagation and social events contributing to formation of Tongwei's cultural image.In the bilateral relationship of development and communication,Tongwei's image of painting and calligraphy comes to a systematic and well-rounded construction.As a typical example,Tongwei's cultural image is of referential value for development and communication of regional cultural image.To build up an outstanding regional cultural image,in the view of this work,regional history should be the base to make use of traditional culture at first.Secondly,regional features should be the emphases and geological advantages should be well extracted.Third is to catch the essence of the era and identify the cross of traditional culture and main-stream culture.Fourth is the demonstrations of celebrity effect.Lastly,the power of propagation from mass media and new media should be put in the front to increase regional cultural communication and to disseminate the unique beauty and influence of reginal culture.For a benign development of regional cultural image,the bilateral relationship of development and communication in combination with history,geology,politics,culture and media are the keys.
