Data Quality Management Research On ERP System

With the rapid development of the market contemporary social economy,the market competition is more and more fierce.Enterprises must work hard on themselves if they want to survive and grow in the new market economy.More and more enterprises start to realize that the informatization is the only way for them to develop.They begin to use ERP system to improve their own management level and increase the utilization rate of resource integration,which aims to respond to market demand rapidly.Thereby,the core competitiveness of enterprises can be enhanced.However,according to current situation,the failure rate of many enterprises' ERP system implementation remained high.There are many enterprises that are launched successfully,but the operation effect is unsatisfactory,which is far from the predetermined goal.A large part of these cases are caused by poor data quality.Actually,data is the foundation of ERP system.All business activities of enterprises are reflected in the ERP system in the form of data.Therefore,improving the quality of ERP data is necessary to improve the success rate of system implementation.This thesis reviews the research status of data quality.The definition and the dimension of ERP data quality are determined by the definition of data quality and data environment of ERP system.And the quality characteristics of different data are concluded according to the analysis of the common data of ERP.At the same time,the major risk factors affecting the quality of data in different stages are analyzed according to the work content of ERP system from planning to operation.The data quality management plan,which based on the whole life cycle of ERP system,is proposed according to the comprehensive analysis.Combined with actual cases,the plans are illustrated and some specific management methods are given in this thesis.Further more,in the period of on-line operation,it is more innovative to use the correlation of data to improve the management level of data quality and to provide some references for the data quality management of ERP system in subsequent enterprises.
