The Design And Implementation Of Information Centric Internet Of Things Simulator

With the deepening of information-centric network research,the need for information-centric networks to be applied in the Internet of Things(IoT)environment has been generated.At the same time,there has also been a demand for information-centric network simulation experiments under the Internet of Things(IoT)environment.However,the existing simulation experiment environment cannot simulate the performance of heterogeneous IoT devices in the information center network environment,so it cannot adapt well to the needs of simulation experiments.For this reason,this article studies the experimental content of the common information-centric Internet of Things experiment and designs and implements a targeted simulator.This article first elaborates the status quo and insufficiency of the information-centric network simulation software at home and abroad,and proposes the background of the simulator and the design goals to be completed:The simulator must simulate the node cache capacity and the processing efficiency of the packet.In order to realize the simulation of heterogeneous networks,it is necessary to simulate the channel's rate,delay,and packet loss rate;at the same time,the processing of information in the network is abstracted as several operations on the forwarding,storage,matching and replacement of information packets.The simulation of these operations thus enables the simulation of information-centric network behavior.Secondly,this article introduces the design and implementation of the main functions of the simulator,including how each simulator node is divided into several units.How these units cooperate with each other,and how the simulator channel is responsible for how to complete the transmission behavior,also introduces the simulation.Other auxiliary modules and their functions.Finally,the article shows how to use the simulator by building an experimental example,testing the main functions of the simulator,and also gives the performance measurement of the simulator.The article also summarizes the insufficiency of the simulator's existing capabilities and the directions for future improvements.
