With the transformation of the Internet application mode, the traditional network based on TCP/IP architecture exposed more and more problems, more advanced network architecture is ready to come out.Information-centric network, as the representative of next-generation network architecture, developed rapidly in recent years. Compared with the traditional TCP/IP network, information-centric network shows obvious advantages in efficient content distribution and network information security. On the other hand, with the rapid development of Internet of Things, more and more communication protocols are developed and applied. The realization of network data communication between the different protocols is the challenging problem.In order to solve above problems, thesis designs and implements an Information-centric Internet of Things gateway, which is used to connect various heterogeneous networks in the Internet of Things so as to realize the interconnection between different networks. We firstly introduce the concept of information-centric network, and then design the naming mechanism based on spatial-temporal to describe the message carrier. On these basis, We propose a spatial-temporal coverage strategy to solve the problem of protocol conversion and transparent transmission of message carriers in the network. Based on the new data naming mechanism, we redesign the storage structure used by the cache module, and optimize the cache query strategy to improve the average hit rate of the cache. In addition, for the clock synchronization of nodes in the sensor network, we design and implement the clock synchronization module for time synchronization. Finally, through the experiment analysis, the gateway system runs well in the experimental environment, and improve the cache hit rate and reduce the average response time of the network. In summary,our IoT gateway system provides an effective way to solve the communication problems between heterogeneous networks.
