Investigation And Reflection On The Construction Of The Characteristic Digital Resources Of The "Double First-Class" University Libraries In China

At present,digital information resources have become more and more important and have gradually become the main information resources in modern society.The method of information resources construction in university library has gradually changed,in order to better meet the needs of users and adapt to the age of digital information.More attention has been paid to how university libraries use their own advantages to build characteristic digital resources.In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the list of "Double First-Class"construction colleges and universities.This is another national strategy after the "211 Project" and "985 Project" in higher education of china.It marks a new stage of the modernization of higher education and building a powerful nation of higher education.These colleges and universities can be regarded as the best universities in china at present.It is of typical significance to study the construction of the characteristic digital resources of these university libraries.This research is aimed at providing some reference to the construction of the characteristic digital resources of the university libraries in China.Under this background,the author firstly selected the 137 "Double-First Class"construction colleges and universities library as the research object.The characteristics of digital resources construction quantity,content,form and other projects carried out a detailed statistical analysis by means of network research,literature research,investigation of mail.Secondly,the author analyzed the university libraries digital resources' characteristics of the Peking University,the Hunan University and the Jinan University,including the overall situation of their construction and advantages and disadvantages,pointed out the existing in the construction of characteristic digital resources of university library in our problems.Finally,to provide some suggestions on the construction of the corresponding resources from different angles.From these side,it is expected to make the university library of our country more reasonable and more efficient in the construction of the characteristic digital resources.The main part of this thesis is divided into six chapters:The chapter one is the prolegomenon,which mainly includes the background of the investigation and significance of the investigation,the status of research both at home and abroad,research contents and ideas,research methods,innovation and characteristics.The second chapter is the investigation part,in this part,the auther takes the library of "Double First-Class" colleges and universities as the object to carry out investigations by network,book and mail.The content of the research is the quantity,form,content,and other projects(includes five aspects:the time of resource construction and maintenance,the amount of browsing and downloading,the introduction of resources,the description of the use and the degree of opening to the outside world and the intellectual property policy)of the construction of characteristic digital resources.The third chapter is the typical cases analysis.The Beijing university of the Class A of the world-class universities,the Hunan university of the Class B of the world-class universities,Jinan university of the first-class discipline universities were selected as the objects to carry out the description of the overall situation of the resources and the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages.The fourth chapter is the existing problems.According to the second and the third chapters,detailed investigation and analysis of the overall situation and typical cases of the construction of the characteristic digital resources of the "Double First-Class" university libraries in China,the common problems(includes seven aspects:Unbalance of development,the less number of resources,the poor quality of resources,the low utilization of resources,the lack of unified standards,attaching importance to content and despising management,the lack of resource building and sharing)in the construction of the characteristic digital resources of the University Library were put forward.The fifth chapter is the suggestion.Combined with the advantages of colleges and universities in the construction of characteristic digital resources and the inspiration from a large number of literature,seven suggestions on the existing problems were put forward:paying attention to balanced development of resource construction,improving the overall construction of characteristic resources consciousness,riching the resources of content around the characteristics,Strengthening the promotion and propaganda,Setting up a unified construction standard,establishing the relevant departments,energetically advocating resource building and sharing.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.This chapter mainly summed up the full thesis,and rethank profoundly the deficiencies in the process of writing.
