Design And Implementation Of IDC Provider Service Capability Evaluation System

The development of mobile Internet and the widespread use of cloud computing make Internet Data Center(IDC)industry grow rapidly.However,with the expansion of IDC industry,problems of service homogeneity and poor service quality emerged.These problems not only lead to great difficulty for IDC users in selecting IDC providers,but also lead to low incentive of IDC providers to optimize the service quality.At the same time,the assessment of IDC providers not only involves the assessments of IDC infrastructure(server room,network,etc.),but also involves the assessment of service capabilities.Although there are already some evaluation tools in the industry,the tools for comprehensive evaluation of IDC providers have not yet come out.In this paper,service capability evaluation system for IDC provider is designed and implemented,which evaluates the service capabilities of IDC providers from three aspects:infrastructure operation capability,network quality and service quality.The evaluation of infrastructure operation capability involves indicators such as infrastructure supporting capability,IT operation and maintenance supporting capability,resource allocation and scaling capability.The assessment of network quality involves network delay,packet loss rate and jitter.The evaluation of service quality involves indicators such as service qualifications,service products,service supporting,technical capabilities,processes and specifications.IDC providers could use this system for self-assessment and then optimize their services.Third-party agencies can also use this system to evaluate the service capabilities of various IDC providers so as to provide reference for IDC users.Firstly,the background of the research and the investigation of evaluation standards in IDC industry are introduced.Secondly,based on investigation results,the requirements of the service capability evaluation system for IDC providers are proposed.Then,the design and implementation of the system are elaborated in detail.In the end,the effectiveness of the system is verified by a set of tests.
