Suzhou Industrial Park Public Library Branch Library System Problems And Countermeasures

General and branch system has been introduced into China in recent years,which has been the popular operational mode and operational mechanism of the public library in western developed countries.General and branch system of public library has become the effective way to improve the generalization and equalization of the public cultural services as well as the service level of public cultural,which could not only effectively compensate for scare resources of public libraries and public service resources,and also broaden the scope of public library services.However,due to the short time of the establishment of general and branch system of public libraries in most areas of China,the uneven development level between different regions,existing problems of working mechanism,different service system and the unbalanced management level,etc.,there exist a lot of problems such as the imperfect operation system,scattered system and bad resource sharing,etc..These existing problems have restricted and affected the faster and healthier development of the general and branch system of public library,which has attracted the attention of the society as well as the far-sighted person.In this paper,we take Suzhou Industrial Park Public Library as the window to investigate the current operational situation of the general and branch system.We explore the causes of the existing problems of general and branch library system.On the basis,by learning the experience of the domestic and foreign the general and branch system of public libraries,we put forward to suggestions on the development strategy for the general and branch system of public library in Suzhou Industrial Park in order to help to improve the operational level of the general and branch system as well as to provide supports to better fulfill of the heritage of human civilization,spread of advanced culture as well as the carry-out of social responsibility education.
