With the development of computer technology and information technology,development of product design system has become the enterprise product design trend of digitalization,informatization and integration.To achieve product and its parts design,product parameters management and automatic assembly is the urgent demand of enterprise.This project chooses Creo as a development platform,VS2010 as programming environment,based on which a product design system is designed and developed whose function include parts design and parametritis modeling,product and its parts automatically parameters automatic query and stored automatically generated,parts machining process and product automatic assembly function,The system has an important practical significance for improving the efficiency of product design,this article's main research content is as follows:First of all,the characteristics of parts are analyzed,based on which the characteristics of the classification and properties are given.The various characteristics which plays a role in parts design has carried on the detailed description.The product feature information model and feature mapping are established,which gives the expression about the characteristics of the component model.Then,analyzing the existing way of secondary development and choosing Creo as second development platform to develop the parts design system,based on which the parts design module whose functions contain parts parameters setting and get,parameters dialog box creating and initialize,loading and driving model characteristics,activating and displaying parts,establishing the machining process of parts.Parameters of the new designed parts can be automatically saved in the database.Meanwhile,the parts information management system is designed to realize the data access and write to the parts,and to complete the inquiry and storage function of the part parameters.Finally,the automatic assembly of the assembly hierarchy,coordinate transformation,constraints of the implementation are studied,then the implementing way of automatic assembly are determined,based on the constraint relationship between coordinate system and assembly parts to achieve the automatic assembly of products.Through the above research,a product design system is designed and developed.The designer can design the product according to the requirement of the product.The system is used to select or redesign the required parts.In the system interface,the part design and machining process parameters are given,and the designed parts and the corresponding machining process card files are generated.On this basis,parts are selected sequentially,and automatic assembly of parts is realized.The realization of the system can effectively improve the design efficiency of the product,and has practical value for engineering practice.
