The Design And Implementation Of Adult Distance Education Course Management System Of Province And City

In recent years,the distance education is carried out by local colleges and universities.This pattern of education makes a reality the common exploitation of the educational resources and individualized learning.However,the conventional higher vocational education model could not meet requirement of the development of distance education.In this paper we designed and implemented an adult distance education course management system under the development of distance education in provinces and cities.The main jobs of this thesis are as followed:.1.In our work,we have make an investigation about the system user,segregation of duties and core function of adult distance education course arrangement in provinces and cities.According to the characteristic of distance course type in local colleges,the system is divided into six modules including course management,students status management,examination management,grading management,classroom management and user management.Based on object-oriented analysis and design method,we have built the business model of system using Use-Case and Use-Case analysis.2.Multi-tiers architecture design was used in our system,including data access layer,business services layer,data service layer and presentation layer.Then we completed the design of each model's function using Flow Diagram and Sequence Diagram base on object oriented programming.Then,we describes the relationship between roles and entities system database using E-R diagram.3.We used Java as development language,constructed the system using the Struts application framework,and had given the result of this realized system.By comparison with the traditional course management system,this system encompasses multiple business roles at the provincial and city levels.system provides some convenient functions such as open course application,course selection,course adjustment and examination.Teachers can design a reasonable curriculum and examination plan.The system did not appear safe hidden trouble in course arrangement and collapse phenomenon.The system is still in trial operation stage,there are still some functions and areas need to be improved,especially the user interface design.
