With the constant change of educational theory, college education also continues deepening innovation. It diverted from the knowledge transfer-oriented education model, namely the traditional teaching style, gradually to the teacher-guided model.Informal learning obtains more and more attention,so the relevant demand for learning space is also increasingly diversified.University library is the most suitable place for college students because of its special cultural attributes and the original learning atmosphere. In the process of spatial change and development of university library, firstly,it should be oriented to the needs of learners and service users. Therefore,it is very important to integrate the design concept of interactive space for informal learning into the process of physical space transformation. The research mainly uses the literature survey method, the comparative analysis method and the case study method to sort out the theories of informal learning and library space as well as the development status and trend, meanwhile,it studies some successful cases of the interactive spatial development for informal learning and of library transformation. On the basis of the two studies, this research puts forward the principles and internal functional elements of the interactive space design for informal learning of university library. Then to apply the principles and functional elements to TJ library,it conducts the space design from the different learning demands of college students to open up a variety of interactive space to enhance the desire for spatial using of library.Last but not least,it is also an attempt for the informal interactive learning spatial transformation and design of university library.
