Study On Physical Space Renovation Strategy Of University Library In China

University library is in a transition period,the traditional library space function and pattern affect the approach of access to information and information dissemination,due to the development of information technology and changes of users' requirements.Universities in the different parts of the country have been building new libraries in order to solve the problem of library space.But people ignore the renovation of the old libraries.By comparing the research status at home and abroad,the paper analyses the necessity of renovation of old library space.After fieldwork,reading a lot of literature as well as browsing the website of University Library,the paper takes three academic libraries for example and introduce the library how to reconstruct.It is a complex project to reconstruct an old library,which relates to different subject areas.Now there are no uniform standards about how to reconstruct old library space in our country.This thesis proposes the principle of physical space renovation for university library based on research of literature and practice.And point out the key that library should pay attention to when carry out a reconstruction project.
