With the rapid development of information technology and higher education theory, model of higher education is undergoing tremendous changes, more emphasis on learning autonomy, ubiquitous, collaborative. In order to adapt to the change of the user’s information needs, many universities in our country and abroad are keen on building Learning Commons and U-Learning Environment. Whether in our country or abroad, LC is mainly responsible for building by the library, while U-Learning Environment is mainly responsible for building by schools teaching management department, this separate building mode has brought to the users who using LC can not access to the ubiquitous resources and services of U-Learning Environment, users who using the U-Learning Environment can not obtain the support of learning and research from LC, bring about great inconvenience to users, and affect the learning effect. This paper explores the integration of the both, to build integrated learning environment, users only need to authenticate once, they can seamlessly access the required resources and services support. This paper analyzes the concept, characteristics and the construction status of the LC and U-Learning Environment in our country and abroad, analyzes the necessity and feasibility of integration, proposes objectives and modalities of integration, build entity services space, virtual space, technical support platform and services to carry out to discuss concrete realization of integration methods. Finally, put forward the strategies for the challenges of integration, to provide a barrier-free learning environment for the users through building the integrated learning environment, to meet the increasingly complex and diverse learning needs of the users, and at the same time enhance the core competitiveness and education functions of the university library.
